Abstract: A multiplexer device includes at least one acoustic band pass filter connected to a common port, and a hybrid LC/acoustic filter connected to the common port in parallel with the at least one acoustic band pass filter. Each acoustic band pass filter has a corresponding passband and includes multiple acoustic resonators. The hybrid LC/acoustic filter includes at least one acoustic resonator, and has at least one capacitor replaced by a corresponding at least one acoustic resonator, respectively. Each of the at least one acoustic resonator included in the hybrid LC/acoustic filter provides a stopband response when operating in a corresponding acoustic frequency range, and acts as a capacitor when operating in a corresponding non-acoustic frequency range.

Abstract: This automatic gain control circuit is provided with a variable gain amplifier for amplifying a received signal, has a small circuit size, and makes it possible to reduce the effect of superimposed external noise input within the frequency bandwidth of a received signal. The automatic gain control circuit supplies the output of the variable gain amplifier to an analog/digital converter and comprises: a frequency selection circuit that is connected to the output of the analog/digital converter and that selects a signal within the frequency bandwidth of a received signal, said signal having a narrower bandwidth than the frequency bandwidth; and a control signal generation circuit that generates a control signal for the variable gain amplifier on the basis of the strength of the signal selected by the frequency selection circuit.

Abstract: The present application describes systems and methods of performing self-interference cancellation. According to an embodiment, the method sends a transmit signal through a circulator to substantially isolate the transmit signal from a receiver, with at least a portion of the transmit signal entering a receive path towards the receiver. The method also generates a reflected signal from an antenna. The reflected signal is at substantially less power than an incident power to the antenna. The reflected signal includes a transmitter carrier signal and a transmitter noise. The method also routes a received signal from the antenna to the receiver, and routes the reflected signal through a phase shifter in the receive path. Further, the method combines the reflected, phase shifted transmitter noise with the received signal in the receive path to cancel the portion of the transmit signal that entered the receive path towards the receiver.

Abstract: A system that incorporates teachings of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a process for measuring by a system having a processor, within a wide frequency band, signal power levels received in specified narrow frequency bands, determining an average composite wideband power level that excludes a portion of the power levels of the received signals, detecting interference according to an adaptive threshold based on the average composite wideband power level, and generating an interference report based on the detecting of the interference. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Abstract: Interference (I3) in a waveform received at a device in a wireless network is processed, the processing, for example, being used to detect and/or reduce the interference. The interference comprises non-linear products of at least a first signal. On the basis of at least the first signal, a plurality of interference product streams are generated, each stream comprising a stream of time samples of a simulated non-linear product of at least the first signal. At least two of the plurality of interference product streams are processed to reduce a degree of correlation between said at least two interference product streams thereby producing at least two processed interference product streams, which are correlated with the received waveform to produce a plurality of respective correlation values. The interference is processed in dependence on the plurality of respective correlation values.

Abstract: A system that incorporates the subject disclosure may perform, for example, a method for detecting signal interference in a first segment of a plurality of segments of a radio frequency spectrum of a wireless communication system, determining according to the signal interference a measure of quality of service of the first segment for transmitting voice traffic, comparing the measure of quality of service to a desired measure of quality of service measure for voice traffic, determining from the comparison that the first segment is not suitable for voice traffic, and notifying a system that the first segment is not suitable for voice traffic. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Abstract: A cellular radio architecture that includes a receiver module having a delta-sigma modulator that includes a plurality of gm cells configured in stages, where each stage includes at least two gm cells and an LC filter circuit. The gm cells in each stage can be controlled to be active or inactive to convert, for example, the modulator from a fourth order modulator to a second order modulator to reduce power dissipation. Further, the gm cells can be controlled to optimize a dynamic range of the modulator and to redirect current from inactive cells to active cells in order to optimize power consumption.
