Abstract:
A portable terminal includes a display that displays a message and a controller that controls a cooperative operation with the image forming apparatus. The controller causes the display to display the message when the controller detects a proximity of the portable terminal to the image forming apparatus, and causes the display to stop displaying the message that is displayed on the display when an intensity of radio wave for short-range wireless communication from the image forming apparatus becomes equal or smaller than a predetermined threshold value.
Abstract:
An image processing apparatus is configured to be capable of being remotely operated by a terminal device via a wireless communication line. The image processing apparatus is equipped with a body control unit, a LAN interface, and a body operation unit. The body operation unit is capable of displaying a plurality of operation keys and capable of receiving a touch operation with respect to each of the plurality of operation keys. The LAN interface is used in order to acquire a positional relationship between the terminal device and the image processing apparatus. The body control unit, when determining that the terminal device is located close to the image processing apparatus, disables a touch operation with respect to a specific operation key among the plurality of operation keys on the body operation unit.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, and computer program products for capturing and analyzing image data, preferably video data, are disclosed. The inventive concepts include using multiple frames of image data to generate a composite image, where the composite image may be characterized by a higher resolution than one or more of the individual frames used to generate the composite image, and/or absence of a blurred region present in one or more of the individual frames. Inventive techniques also include determining a minimum capture resolution appropriate for capturing images of particular objects for downstream processing, and optionally triggering generation of a composite image having sufficient resolution to facilitate the downstream processing in response to detecting one or more frames of image data are characterized by a resolution, and/or a region having a resolution, less than the minimum capture resolution appropriate for capturing images of those particular objects.
Abstract:
A method includes capturing plural frames of video data using a mobile device. The frames are analyzed to determine whether any depict an object exhibiting one or more defining characteristics, and if so, whether those frame(s) depicting the object also satisfy one or more predetermined quality control criteria. If one or more of the frames depict the object and also satisfy the one or more predetermined quality control criteria, the method further includes automatically capturing an image of the object. Exemplary defining characteristics are specified for various types of object, particularly objects comprising documents. Related systems and computer program products are also disclosed. The presently disclosed techniques and systems represent translational developments across the fields of image processing and business process management. Improved analytical techniques enable processing of image captured using cameras rather than traditional scanner technology, and facilitate distribution, tracking and analysis of documents and information throughout business processes.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus having at least one of print, scan, copy, fax, and web browsing functions, the image forming apparatus including a near field communication (NFC) module to detect a mobile terminal through NFC, a touch panel to display an interactive screen on which at least one object appears and to receive an input of a gesture with respect to the object from a user, and a control unit to interpret a gesture from the user based on a relative position relationship between the NFC module and the touch panel and to transmit the object to the mobile terminal according to a result of the interpretation of the gesture.
Abstract:
According to the present invention, when a terminal apparatus is brought close to a printing apparatus serving as a processing apparatus, the terminal apparatus uses its own NFC unit to acquire, from the printing apparatus, information for communicating with each of one or more network connection units provided in the printing apparatus. Then, using a communication unit, the terminal apparatus then searches for the printing apparatus on a network in accordance with the acquired information. In the case where the terminal apparatus has successfully identified the printing apparatus as being present on the network, the terminal apparatus transmits a processing request to the printing apparatus successfully identified on the network via the communication unit.
Abstract:
An image forming system includes mobile terminals and image forming apparatuses, in which one image forming apparatus receives setting information to be used in order to use the image forming apparatus, the setting information being stored in one mobile terminal and able to be transmitted to another mobile terminal that will use another image forming apparatus based on the setting information. The one image forming apparatus determines whether the setting information is to be changed based on a comparison between the ability of the image forming apparatuses and, when determining that the setting information is to be changed, changes the setting information and send the changed setting information to the other mobile terminal.
Abstract:
A display system includes an image forming apparatus, and a tablet terminal transmitting/receiving information to/from image forming apparatus through wireless communication. The Image forming apparatus detects the tablet terminal, and establishes wireless communication with the detected tablet terminal through a wireless communication driver. When wireless communication is established, the image forming apparatus transmits a display request requesting display of operation information (operation manual) related to the currently ongoing operation, to the tablet terminal. Receiving the display request transmitted from the image forming apparatus, the tablet terminal displays the requested operation information (manual) of the operation manual.
Abstract:
A communication apparatus includes a communicating unit, and a controller configured to control communication through the communicating unit. When another communication device comes within a predetermined distance from the communicating unit, the controller receives device identification information for identifying the other device from the other device through the communicating unit, stores correlation information correlating the received device identification information with image identification information identifying image data to be transferred into a predetermined storage device. The controller transfers the image data to be transferred to the other communication device based on the stored correlation information.
Abstract:
An information processing apparatus which is capable of, whenever a new image processing apparatus is put on sale, remotely controlling the image processing apparatus without performing maintenance on the information processing apparatus. A display unit displays a first screen corresponding to an operation screen displayed on at least one image processing apparatus and a second screen corresponding to the hardware key which the at least image processing apparatus has. A holding unit holds a plurality of image of hardware keys corresponding to the hardware key which the at least image processing apparatus has. A display control unit selects an image of a hardware key corresponding to a hardware key which an image processing apparatus performing communication via a communication unit has from among at least one image of a hardware key held in the holding unit, and displays the second screen using the selected image of the hardware key.
