Abstract:
A pharmaceutical order filling system uses pucks disposed on a pallet to accommodate a plurality of container sizes into which pharmaceuticals can be dispensed. An order processing device receives a pharmaceutical order and identifies a size of container into which a pharmaceutical in the pharmaceutical order should be dispensed. A pallet sizing and pucking device is configured: to configure a pallet with a plurality of pucks adapted to accommodate containers and to configure the pucks on a pallet in a manner that will facilitate efficient fulfillment of the pharmaceutical order.
Abstract:
Solid contents verification systems and methods are provided. The system includes a contents sensor unit, a container-carrying unit and a control unit. The contents sensor unit has at least one contents sensor configured to send and receive sonic pulses to determine a state of contents in a container. The contents sensor unit is configured to send a signal communicating a state of the contents in a container. The container-carrying unit is configured to hold a container in substantial alignment with the contents sensors to expose the contents to the sonic pulses. The control unit is operatively connected to the contents sensor unit. The control unit is configured to receive the signal communicating the state of the contents and to compare the state of the contents with a desired state of the contents.
Abstract:
Methods and systems for analyzing software development risks are described. In one embodiment, a plurality of risk factor questions associated with a software development process of a software program during a software development stage in which the software program is being created or will be created are generated. A plurality of risk factor responses associated with the software development process of the software program is received. A plurality of risk factors with a plurality of risk factor models and a plurality of risk factor weightings is respectively associated. The plurality of risk factors are totaled in combination with their respective association of the plurality of risk factor models and the plurality of risk factor weightings to generate a predicted number of expected software development defects associated with continued development of the software program. Additional methods and systems are disclosed.
Abstract:
A pharmaceutical filling system for a high volume pharmacy is described. The system can include a paper feed device and method. The system may include a paper collator with at one selectively openable shelf. A control device may monitor the capacity of the selectively openable shelf, and instruct a printer to hold printing additional print jobs. The selectively openable shelf may then be opened to allow the printed literature resting thereon to fall to a lower shelf, and the printer can then be restarted. Sheets of printed literature may be drawn from the paper collator, collected with any other sheets of printed literature associated with a prescription order, and mated with the prescription order for shipment.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for folding a stack of substrate sheets are provided. The system may include a roller assembly and a positioning mechanism. The roller assembly is configured for folding the stack of substrate sheets and the positioning mechanism is configured to position the substrate or stack for entry into the roller assembly. The positioning mechanism includes an upper curved form and a lower curved form to guide the stack of substrate sheets into a curved position for folding. The positioning mechanism further includes a folding blade positioned to extend through the gap between the upper and lower curved forms. The roller assembly can move the folded stack of substrate sheets in at least two directions.
Abstract:
A system and method for improving adherence to therapy programs, in particular to adherence to medication therapy and/or to healthcare therapy, that includes medication therapy. Methods of the present invention may also be used to improve compliance with and/or adherence to other wellness and/or health care programs. Methods and systems of the invention may include methods of identifying patients who are at risk of non-adherence, non-compliance, or likelihood of cessation with a therapy program, predicting a basis for such noncompliance, and targeting interventions directed to patients who have been identified as likely to be non-compliant, wherein interventions take into consideration the predicted basis for noncompliance.
Abstract:
Methods and systems for mosaic rendering are described. In some embodiments, an image featuring a person is received. A message associated with the person is received. A mosaic rendering scheme is modified to create a modified mosaic rendering scheme including the image based on receipt of the image and the message. A mosaic display is rendered including the image and the plurality of additional images based on the modified mosaic rendering scheme, the mosaic display including the image and the plurality of additional images in a display pattern in which each image is adjacent to at least one other image. A user inquiry is detected relative to the mosaic display in proximity to the image. A message display is generated including the message based on detection of the user inquiry. Additional methods and systems are disclosed.
