Abstract: The present invention provides a method for operating a pure-water production system, which includes an ultraviolet oxidation device and an electrical de-ionization device and channels water to these devices in this order from an upstream side. The method includes: setting hydrogen peroxide concentrations of concentrated water in a concentration chamber and electrode water in an electrode chamber of the electrical de-ionization device less than a hydrogen peroxide concentration of treated water that permeates through a desalination chamber of the electrical de-ionization device.

Abstract: The power storage device structure according to the present invention includes a power storage device and a casing that encloses the power storage device with a gap therebetween, and has a structure in which a molded body containing an acrylic resin or a molded body containing a copolymer of a monomer used for polymerization of an acrylic resin and another monomer is placed in the gap between the power storage device and the casing. The molded body is preferably in the form of a film, sheet, or plate. With such a power storage device structure, it is possible to reduce the risk of ignition in the event of an abnormality such as damage to a power storage device, particularly to a power storage device stack in which multiple power storage devices are stacked, or overcharge.

Abstract: Provided are an electrodeionization system containing multiple electrodeionization devices installed in parallel and a control method for the system. The system contains a regulator varying a flow rate of supply water to the electrodeionization devices; an adjustor adjusting, for each electrodeionization device, a flow rate of concentrated water discharged from each electrodeionization device; and a maintainer maintaining the flow rate of the concentrated water at a certain level or higher. The maintainer is installed only in a main flow path where multiple sub-flow paths are integrated and a main path where multiple sub-paths are integrated. Desalted water produced in each electrodeionization device flows through each sub-flow path while concentrated water discharged from each electrodeionization device flows through each sub-path. The electrodeionization system reduces the production cost while suppressing the occurrence of scale due to a decrease in the flow rate of supply water to each electrodeionization device.

Abstract: Functional aqueous solution supply apparatus (1) has a replenishment water production unit (3) that is supplied with ultrapure water (W) from a pipe conduit (2) and produces functional aqueous solution as washing water (W1), a storage tank (5) that is supplied/replenished with the produced washing water (W1) via a pipe (4), and a circulation pipe conduit (7) that supplies the washing water (W1) from the storage tank (5) to single-wafer type washers (6A, 6B, 6C, and 6D) and returns unused washing water (W1) to the storage tank (5). The circulation pipe conduit (7) is branched into supply pipes (7A, 7B, 7C, and 7D) and is further connected to return pipes (8A, 8B, 8C, and 8D) that communicate into the circulation pipe conduit (7) from the washers (6A, 6B, . . . ), respectively. The operation plan of the washers (6A, 6B, . . . ) is preliminarily transmitted to a control means (9), and this control means (9) can control the replenishment water production unit (3). Such a functional aqueous solution supply apparatus can supply the functional aqueous solution as the washing water to use points such as washing apparatuses for electronic components/electronic members, etc.

Abstract: A production device for pH/redox potential-adjusted water (1) of the present invention includes a platinum group metal-supporting resin column (3) that is provided in a supply line (2) of ultrapure water (W) and a pH adjuster tank (4) and a redox potential adjuster tank (5) that are provided downstream the platinum group metal-supporting resin column (3). A membrane-type degassing device (6) is provided downstream them, and a gas-dissolving membrane (7) is disposed downstream the membrane-type degassing device (6). A cleaning water quality monitoring mechanism including a pH meter, an ORP meter, and an inert gas concentration measuring means is provided downstream the gas-dissolving membrane (7) of the supply line (2). The cleaning water quality monitoring mechanism is connected to a control means (not illustrated). The control means is capable of controlling a pump (4B) of the pH adjuster tank (4), a pump (5B) of the redox potential adjuster tank (5), and the gas-dissolving membrane (7) based on the measurement values of the cleaning water quality monitoring mechanism. With such a configuration, the present invention can suppress dissolution of metals to a minimum level in a rinsing step for the surfaces of wafers on which chromium group elements are exposed.
