Abstract:
Systems and methods for classifying targets within a container are provided. In one aspect, a method for resolving an alarm raised by an imaging system that includes a component for detecting contraband objects in a container is provided. The method includes receiving a plurality of images from the imaging system, calculating at least one feature for at least one object that caused the alarm, inputting the at least one feature into at least one classifier, rendering a decision about the at least one object based on a vote of the at least one classifier, and rendering a final decision about the container.
Abstract:
A system is disclosed that provides a goal based learning system utilizing a rule based expert training system to provide a cognitive educational experience. The system provides the user with a simulated environment that presents a business opportunity to understand and solve optimally. Mistakes are noted and remedial educational material presented dynamically to build the necessary skills that a user requires for success in the business endeavor. The system utilizes an artificial intelligence engine driving individualized and dynamic feedback with synchronized video and graphics used to simulate real-world environment and interactions. Multiple “correct” answers are integrated into the learning system to allow individualized learning experiences in which navigation through the system is at a pace controlled by the learner. A robust business model provides support for realistic activities and allows a user to experience real world consequences for their actions and decisions and entails realtime decision-making and synthesis of the educational material. The system is architected around a table of components to manage and control the system.
Abstract:
The invention provides a method and software for the adjustment of properties of media streams and events, principally timing information, based on a template, i.e., a groove map. The invention further provides methods by which the templates can be created, edited, and arranged within the context of the media they influence.
Abstract:
The invention concerns an inner tray, arranged inside a chamber, comprising a plurality of parallel beams (1), located in a common horizontal plane and fixed through their ends to the wall of the chamber, and, between said beams and supported thereby, rows of adjacent rectangular plates (2), completely covering the space between the beams. The invention is characterized in that the supporting edges (3) of the plates (2) through which the latter are supported on the beams (1), are folded downwards by two substantially right-angled folds, and in that each of the edges (4) of the plates (2), perpendicular to the beams (1) is folded so as to form a female part (4a) or a male part (4b) capable of being respectively nested in a male (4b) or female (4a) part formed by the folded edge of the adjacent plate. The invention also concerns a chamber containing such a tray.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for interaction prompt initiated video advertising are disclosed. According to one embodiment, a computer implemented method comprises storing digital advertising content, the digital content including digital video, and digital slideshows. An XML file is served from an ad server to a player embedded in a web site. One or more advertisements are dynamically generated from the XML file and the digital content. The one or more advertisements are displayed with video content requested through the web site.
Abstract:
A stent includes a stent member having a plurality of post members formed therein. Each post member is connected to an adjacent post member by an interconnecting portion. A plurality of leg members extend from the stent member. The stent may be molded within a flexible polymer valve. The legs stabilize and locate the stent in the mold. Upon completion of the molding process, the legs can be separated from the stent.
Abstract:
A cover is operable to seat and unseat electronic components. The cover is detached from an enclosure exposing an access opening. An electronic component, such as an expansion card, is inserted by an operator into guide rails housed within the opening. A first catch mechanism of the cover pivotally engages the opening so as to form a lever arm. A second catch mechanism connects with a mating catch of the electronic component. The component traverses the guide rails according to the rotation of the cover. The mechanical advantage realized by the cover overcomes the forces associated with seating and detaching connector pins of the electronic component with sockets of an expansion bus. The cover detaches from both the component and the enclosure prior to being repositioned to overlap the opening.
Abstract:
An array of electronic modules on the top of a circuit board is cooled by a heat sink secured to the bottom of the board. Vias transfer heat through the board to a compliant interface pad which permits heat to flow to the heat sink while maintaining electrical isolation between the vias. The heat sink is held on the board by push pin assemblies including springs that compress the interface pad between the circuit board and the heat sink. The body of each push pin assembly includes flexing legs supporting locking barbs, and flex of the legs is limited by a strut defining a closed end slot in the shank of the body.

Abstract:
An adjustable archery training bow assembly includes a single resistance element and an adjustment mechanism that can be actuated by a user to vary the tension level in the resistance element for training purposes. The training bow also includes a mount for receiving a mobile device, which allows the user to practice various augmented reality-archery training scenarios. The adjustable archery training bow is used to enhance the user's skills, such as his/her strength, stability, and accuracy to help deliver on-target an arrow fired from a real, non-training bow.
