Abstract:
Described herein, are compositions comprising a soluble quaternary ammonium polymer/polyphosphate complex made by combining ingredients comprising a quaternary ammonium polymer and polyphosphates having 2 or more phosphate units. Methods of making and using these compositions are also described.
Abstract:
Described herein, are aqueous soluble tin phosphate complexes formed from a mixture comprising tin (II) fluoride or tin (II) chloride and a tripolyphosphate salt, e.g., sodium tripolyphosphate (Na5P3O10), and external personal care compositions comprising the complexes, and uses thereof.
Abstract:
Described herein are oral care compositions comprising an effective amount of aluminum chlorohydrate suspended in a carrier for preventing, reducing or inhibiting dentinal hypersensitivity, the aluminum chlorohydrate exhibiting a SEC chromatogram having a SEC Peak 4 to Peak 3 intensity ratio of at least 7 and a Peak 4 intensity greater than a Peak 5 intensity; and methods of using the same.

Described herein are methods of cleaning a tooth comprising administering a composition comprising a zinc amino acid halide complex to the oral cavity; and retaining the composition in the oral cavity for a time sufficient to form a precipitate.
Abstract:
A composition comprising an aluminum chlorohydrate salt, the aluminum chlorohydrate salt having at least 50 mole % Al30 polyhydroxyoxoaluminum cation of all polyhydroxyoxoaluminum cations detectable by quantitative 27Al NMR within the aluminum chlorohydrate salt, and a buffer. The composition can optionally include zirconium. Also disclosed are a method of making an aluminum salt using an increased molar concentration of a starting aluminum salt with a buffer, a method of reducing perspiration with the aluminum chlorohydrate salt, and a method of treating water with the aluminum chlorohydrate salt.
Abstract:
A method of making an antiperspirant active composition and the use of a heating step at elevated temperature to convert Al13 polyhydroxyoxoaluminum cations in the species detectable by 27Al NMR within an aqueous aluminum salt solution into Al30 polyhydroxyoxoaluminum cations in the species detectable by 27Al NMR without increasing a SEC Peak 3 area in the SEC chromatogram of the aluminum salt.
Abstract:
Provided herein is an aqueous composition comprising an active antiperspirant ingredient and disodium EDTA, wherein the active antiperspirant ingredient is present in an amount of 0.2 weight % to 3 weight % by total weight of the composition on an anhydrous basis, wherein the active antiperspirant ingredient comprises an aluminum salt, and wherein the pH of the composition is from 2 to 5. The composition may be used as an antiperspirant when applied to the axillary area of a person.
