Abstract:
In the continuously hot rolling of plural sheet bars, in order to simply and surely join the sheet bars to the back end portion of the preceding sheet bar and the front end portion of the succeeding sheet bar are prejoined by butting to each other at an entrance side of a finish rolling mill and then bitten into the finish rolling mill, during which the joining of the sheet bars are promoted to conduct the continuous rolling.

Abstract:
A process for producing a high resilience polyurethane foam by reacting a polyol with a polyisocyanate in the presence of a catalyst, a blowing agent, and a foam stabilizer; said polyisocyanate containing at least diphenylmethane diisocyanate and/or a mixture of diphenylmethane diisocyanate with a derivative thereof, the blowing agent being water, or water and a halogenated hydrocarbon in amounts of not less than 2 parts by weight of water and not more than 20 parts by weight of the halogenated hydrocarbon based on 100 parts by weight of the polyol, and the catalyst being at least one selected from the compounds represented by the formula (I) below: ##STR1## where R.sup.1 is alkyl having 1 to 4 carbons, dimethylaminopropyl, benzyl, vinyl, or hydroxyalkyl having 1 to 3 carbons; R.sup.2 is hydrogen, alkyl having 1 to 4 carbons, alkyl, benzyl or phenyl; and R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are independently hydrogen, alkyl having 1 to 4 carbons, or hydroxymethyl.
Abstract:
A process for producing a rigid polyurethane foam by use of a decreased amount of a CFC blowing agent and an increased amount of water used as a blowing agent, maintaining a high degree of heat insulation and improving the deterioration in friability of the product. The catalyst is one of the imidazoles represented by the formula (I): ##STR1## where R.sup.1 is alkyl having 1 to 4 carbons, benzyl, dimethylaminopropyl, or hydroxyalkyl having 1 to 3 carbons; R.sup.2 is hydrogen, alkyl having 1 to 4 carbons, allyl, or benzyl; and R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are independently hydrogen, methyl, or hydroxymethyl.
Abstract:
A disk cartridge comprises a cartridge case including an upper case, a lower case and a head insertion aperture at a predetermined position, a pair of cleaning sheets respectively secured to inner surfaces of the upper and lower cases, a disk disposed rotatably between the cleaning sheets, and a resilient member disposed between at least one of the cases and associated cleaning sheet, the resilient member being adapted to press a part of the cleaning sheet against a disk surface, wherein the resilient member is disposed in the vicinity of the head insertion aperture and upstream of the head inserting port in the rotational direction of the disk, thereby enhancing the effect of cleaning of the disk surfaces to be read/written by the magnetic head.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method of cutting a workpiece efficiently with high accuracy by utilizing tension adjusters to approximate tension in a wire in a wire saw to a predetermined target tension while effectively reducing only tension in a winder-side wire. The method comprises a forward-driven cutting step of cutting a workpiece while moving a wire forward, a first switching step of reversing a driving direction of the wire, a backward-driven cutting step of cutting the workpiece while moving the wire backward, and a second switching step of reversing a driving direction of the wire and returning to the forward-driven cutting step, the steps being repeated in this order. In both switching steps, only tension in a winder-side wire is reduced by tension manipulators. A reduction in target wire tension therefor is performed after completion of deceleration of the wire in each switching step.
Abstract:
An insulated transformer, which can suppress aging deterioration and can reduce the influence of noise caused by external magnetic flux, while improving reliability and environmental resistance, and can send and receive signals while electrically insulating a low-voltage side and a high-voltage side. A secondary coil is formed on a semiconductor substrate, and a primary coil is formed on one face of a glass substrate. The primary coil fixes the glass substrate formed on one face onto the semiconductor substrate through the other face of the glass substrate by an adhesive layer.
