Abstract:
Some demonstrative embodiments include apparatuses, systems and/or methods of performing a range measurement. For example, a first wireless communication device may include a radio to communicate a discovery frame with a second wireless communication device, the discovery frame including at least one movement indication field to indicate a time of movement of a sender of said discovery frame; and a controller to perform a range measurement procedure with said second wireless communication device.
Abstract:
Embodiments allow a station to determine its location and report the location to a access point or other network entity. The station obtains agreement with an access point, group of access points, or other network entity to provide its location to a designated accuracy level and the access point(s) agree to provide services such as access to a location service, the access point(s) location to a designated positional accuracy, etc. The station measures its position and induces an error in its reported location. The induced error prevents an exact location of the station from being determined by the access point(s) or others, thus preserving the privacy of the station. The location reported by the station may be absolute (e.g., geographic coordinates) or relative to a landmark, location, etc.

Abstract:
Some demonstrative embodiments include apparatuses, systems and/or methods of estimating a location of a mobile device. For example, an apparatus may include a controller to control a mobile device to transmit a first message to a wireless communication station (STA) and to receive a first acknowledgement (ACK) message from the STA in response to the first message, when the mobile device is at a first location, wherein the controller to control the mobile device to transmit a second message to the STA and to receive a second ACK message from the STA in response to the second message, when the mobile device is at a second location, wherein the controller is to determine a distance difference between a first distance and a second distance based on a first round trip time and a second round trip time, the first distance being between the first location and the STA, the second distance being between the second location and the STA, wherein the first round trip time includes a round trip time of the first message and first ACK, and the second round trip time includes a round trip time of the second message and second ACK.
Abstract:
In a navigation system and method, location-aware adjustments may be made to the accuracy and/or power of the navigation system by changing at least one setting of a navigation system receiver in response to at least one characteristic of a navigation route and/or an estimated current position of the receiver. By providing location-aware adjustments, the accuracy may be increased when a higher accuracy is desired and may be decreased when a lower accuracy is sufficient based on the receiver location. A higher accuracy setting may be used, for example, when the estimated current position of a navigation system receiver is within the vicinity of a waypoint along the navigation route and a lower accuracy setting may be used at other times to reduce power consumption. Of course, many alternatives, variations, and modifications are possible without departing from this embodiment.
Abstract:
This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to enhanced sounding for secure mode wireless communications. A device may generate a channel sounding symbol comprising a first subcarrier and a second subcarrier, wherein a first amplitude of the first subcarrier is different than a second amplitude of the second subcarrier. The device may generate a channel sounding signal comprising the channel sounding symbol. The device may send the channel sounding signal to a second device.
Abstract:
This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to null data packet (NDP) frame format. A device may cause to send a null data packet announcement (NDPA) frame to a responding station device (RSTA). The device may cause to send a first sounding NDP frame comprising one or more fields formatted to support 2.4 gigahertz (GHz) and 5 GHz bands in a non-trigger-based ranging measurement with the RSTA. The device may identify after a passage of a short inter-frame space (SIFS) time a second NDP frame received from the RSTA. The device may identify a location measurement report frame from the RSTA.
Abstract:
This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to passive location measurement in wireless communications. A device may perform a ranging measurement with a first device and a second device. The device may identify a first uplink (UL) location measurement report (LMR) received from the first device. The device may identify a second UL LMR received from the second device. The device may cause to send a first broadcast LMR comprising information associated with the ranging determination of the first device and the second device. The device may cause to send a second broadcast LMR comprising the measurement information carried in the first UL LMR and the second UL LMR.
Abstract:
This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to long training field (LTF) sequence security protection. A device may determine a null data packet (NDP) frame comprising one or more fields. The device may determine a first long training field (LTF) and a second LTF, the first LTF and the second LTF being associated with a first frequency band of the NDP frame, wherein time domain LTF symbols of first LTF and the second LTF are generated using different LTF sequences. The device may determine a third LTF and a fourth LTF, the third LTF and the fourth LTF being associated with the a second frequency band of the NDP frame, wherein time domain LTF symbols of third LTF and the fourth LTF are generated using different LTF sequences. The device may cause to send the NDP frame to an initiating or a responding device. The device may cause to send a location measurement report (LMR) frame to the initiating or the responding device, wherein the LMR comprises timing information associated with the first frequency band and the second frequency band.
