    Abstract: Various embodiments relate to a method for detecting a memory leak and an electronic device thereof, the electronic device including a processor, and a memory operatively connected to the processor, wherein the memory stores instructions which, when executed by the processor, control the electronic device to: acquire usage information for the memory of a process executed by the processor based on a collection period determined based at least partially on a characteristic of the process; identify a change pattern of a usage amount for the memory of the process based on the usage information; and determine whether a memory leak occurs based on the change pattern of the usage amount.

    Abstract: A method of processing touch events and an electronic device adapted to the method are provided. The electronic device includes: a touch screen; a processor electrically connected to the touch screen; a touch control circuit, electrically connected to the touch screen and the processor, the touch control circuit configured to create a touch event in response to a touch input detected on the touch screen; and a memory electrically connected to the processor. The processor is configured to execute at least one application stored in the memory, to determine attribute information of the executed application, to generate touch area information containing an attribute corresponding to at least part of the area of the touch screen and information regarding at least part of the area of the touch screen, based on the attribute information, and to provide the touch area information to the touch control circuit. The touch control circuit determines whether a touch event corresponding to the detected touch input is created, based on the touch area information.

    Abstract: One or more embodiments provide a mobile terminal and a control method for setting a touch ignoring region on a touch screen of the mobile terminal. In the method, the mobile terminal detects a user's grip signal from at least one lateral side thereof. Then, based on the grip signal, the mobile terminal sets a touch ignoring region on the touch screen. In embodiments, the mobile terminal checks a gripped state thereof through a sensor and then sets the touch ignoring region. This not only prevents a wrong operation caused by an unintended touch due to a thin bezel of the mobile terminal, but also obviates any inconvenience.
