Abstract: A display apparatus having a photosensing function is provided. The display apparatus includes a first pixel circuit and a second pixel circuit. The first pixel circuit includes a light-receiving device, a first transistor, and a second transistor. The second pixel circuit includes a light-emitting device. The light-receiving device includes a first pixel electrode, an active layer, and a common electrode. The light-emitting device includes a second pixel electrode, a light-emitting layer, and the common electrode. The active layer is positioned over the first pixel electrode and includes a first organic compound. The light-emitting layer is positioned over the second pixel electrode and includes a second organic compound different from the first organic compound. The common electrode includes a portion overlapping with the first pixel electrode with the active layer therebetween and a portion overlapping with the second pixel electrode with the light-emitting layer therebetween. The first transistor includes low-temperature polysilicon as a semiconductor layer and the second transistor includes a metal oxide as a semiconductor layer.

Abstract: A display device that can correct the threshold voltage of a driving transistor without a correction of image data is provided. A display device including a pixel provided with a driving transistor, a display element, and a memory circuit and a correction data generation circuit is related. One of a source and a drain of the driving transistor is electrically connected to one electrode of the display element, and a gate of the driving transistor is electrically connected to the memory circuit. In a first period, the correction data generation circuit generates correction data that is data for correcting the threshold voltage of the driving transistor. In a second period, first data is written to the memory circuit. In a third period, second data is supplied to the pixel, whereby third data in which the second data is added to the first data is generated. In a fourth period, an image corresponding to the third data is displayed by the display element.

Abstract: A novel and highly convenient or reliable display panel is provided which includes a first driver circuit, a second driver circuit, a first scan line, a second scan line, and a first signal line. The first driver circuit supplies a selection signal. The second driver circuit supplies a predetermined voltage, first data using a voltage greater than or equal to the predetermined voltage, and second data using a voltage less than or equal to the predetermined voltage. The first scan line is selected in a first period. The second scan line adjacent to the first scan line is selected in a third period. The first signal line receives the first data in the first period, the predetermined voltage in a second period, and the second data in the third period. The second period is provided between the first period and the third period.

The first pixel electrode and the second pixel electrode are provided on the same plane. A first conductive layer, a second conductive layer, and an insulating layer are provided above the common electrode. The insulating layer is provided above the first conductive layer, and the second conductive layer is provided above the insulating layer. The light-receiving element has a function of receiving light emitted from the light-emitting element.

Abstract: A display device capable of improving the image quality is provided. The display device includes a pixel in which a first node, a second node, a third node, and a display element are provided, and the same image data is written to the first node and the second node first. Then, at the same time when the image data is read from the second node to the third node, the image data is added to the image data in the first node by capacitive coupling. Abstract: A display apparatus in which a high voltage can be supplied to a display device is provided. The display apparatus includes a data generation circuit, a source driver circuit, and a pixel. The source driver circuit is electrically connected to the pixel through first and second wirings functioning as signal lines. The pixel includes a display device that is a liquid crystal device, a potential of one electrode of the display device can be a potential of the first wiring, and a potential of the other electrode of the display device can be a potential of the second wiring. The image data generation circuit has a function of generating digital image data including first and second data. In the case where image data corresponding to the digital image data is supplied to the pixel, one of the first and second wirings is made to have a potential corresponding to first data, and the other of the first and second wirings is made to have a potential corresponding to the first data. The potential of the first wiring and the potential of the second wiring are interchanged so that frame inversion driving or the like can be performed.

Abstract: An electronic device which can display an image with the viewing angle dependence reduced is provided. A driving method of an electronic device including a display portion and a position detection sensor is provided. The display portion includes a first display element and a second display element. The first display element is configured to reflect visible light, and the second display element is configured to emit visible light. The display portion is configured to display an image using one or both of first light reflected by the first display element and second light emitted by the second display element. The position detection sensor is configured to detect a position of a user. When the display portion displays the image using both the first light and the second light, an amount of the second light is adjusted in accordance with an angle from which the display portion is viewed by the user.
