Abstract:
There is provided a method of producing hydrocarbon material. A first hydrocarbon material is produced from the formation, the first hydrocarbon material including a gaseous hydrocarbon material originally in place in the formation. At least a portion of the produced gaseous hydrocarbon material is injected into the formation to increase the formation pressure. A second hydrocarbon material is produced from the formation.
Abstract:
A circuit arrangement for controlling the brightness of at least one LED unit is described by the disclosure. The circuit arrangement, in one example, includes an input for receiving a phase-cut operating voltage from a power supply, a signal processor, connected with the input and adapted to provide a dimming signal for the at least one LED unit from the operating voltage. To allow an efficient reduction of noise in the dimming signal but simultaneously to allow an improved dimming of the LED unit, the signal processor are configured to operate at least in a noise suppression mode and a dimming mode. A control device is provided, connected with the signal processor and configured to set the mode of the signal processor in dependence of the variation in the operating voltage.
Abstract:
A coating material with a primer layer, a middle layer and a surface layer and its method of application which includes the steps: (1) spraying the primer layer material onto an article; (2) spraying or brushing the middle layer material with a first color until satisfactorily coated; (3) repeating step (2) with the middle layer material having a second color and allowing drying; and (4) spraying the surface layer material of PU imitation porcelain material and allow drying to obtain the article with superior imitation ceramic effect. The present invention can be applied to any plastic and poly articles with a contoured body, making a highly imitative ceramic article such as pot or vase to replacing the existing authentic ceramic articles. Since the material being used is biodegradable, therefore effectively decreasing the level of pollution and damages to the environment and hence lessening the health hazards to human.
Abstract:
The disclosure provides a method of reducing the likelihood of forming a T cell-mediated allograft vasculopathy lesion in a mammalian transplant recipient comprising transplanting an allograft from a donor to a recipient and administering a therapeutically effective amount of an anti-C5 antibody, or antigen-binding fragment thereof, to the recipient, wherein the anti-C5 antibody, or antigen-binding fragment thereof reduces the likelihood of forming an allograft vasculopathy lesion in the allograft, compared to the absence of treatment with an anti-C5 antibody, or antigen-binding fragment thereof.
Abstract:
A flower pot includes a main body and a water collection basin. The main body has a receiving cavity and at least one opening formed on a bottom portion thereof. The opening communicates the receiving cavity with an exterior of the main body. The water collection basin is formed underneath the main body, and is integrally extended from the bottom portion of the main body to act as a base for the flower pot.
Abstract:
Provided are a self-cleaning air filtering material and a preparation method therefor. The air filtering material comprises: a submicron fiber layer (2) at an inflow surface for surface filtration, a supporting area (3) for supporting and a mixed area (5) between the submicron fiber layer (2) and the supporting area (3), wherein the mixed area (5) is formed by contacting and mixing part of the fibers in the submicron fiber layer (2) and the supporting area (3) with each other during the one-step formation of the submicron fiber layer (2) and the supporting area (3) by passing through a double-layer headbox.
Abstract:
A method for producing multiple temporal frames of a time-resolved contrast enhanced magnetic resonance angiogram from a subject using an MR contrast agent by repeatedly applying RF pulses and sampling data in the corresponding image k-space along spiral trajectories that start at the k-space center and spiral outward toward the k-space edge.
Abstract:
A sound producing apparatus with multi-directivity has two or more speakers to produce music or other types of audio sounds. Each of the speakers can produce audio sounds in a certain direction and at least one speaker is steerable so that its sound propagation direction relative to the others can be changed. Furthermore, one or more speakers can produce audio sounds in an adjustable angular range. One or more of the speakers can be dual-mode speakers, each of which can be operated as a wide-angle speaker or a narrow-angle speaker. With multi-directivity, it is possible to play one type of music in one direction and another type of music in another direction to suit the interests of the audience. The apparatus can be a mobile phone, an audio player, a digital or analog recorder/player, or the like.
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides methods useful for prolonging the survival of an allograft organ in a recipient mammal. The methods include administration of an anti-CD200 antibody or a CD200-binding fragment of the antibody. The disclosure also provides biomarkers, a change in one or more of which indicates that an anti-CD200 antibody has produced a desired immunomodulatory effect in a mammal. Also featured are pharmaceutical compositions, kits, and solutions that contain at least one anti-CD200 antibody and are useful in the methods described herein.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to, inter alia, stable aqueous solutions comprising a high concentration of an antibody that binds to human complement component C5 and methods for preparing the solutions. The disclosure also provides methods for treating or preventing complement-associated disorders (for example, age-related macular degeneration or rheumatoid arthritis) using the solutions. Also featured are therapeutic kits containing one or more of the solutions and a means for administering the solutions to a patient in need such a treatment.
