Abstract:
Filtration systems may comprise a manifold, a filter, a carriage, and a mounting mechanism. The manifold and the filter may each include an inlet fitting and an outlet fitting. The carriage may support the filter with the fittings of the manifold and filter respectively axially aligned. The mounting mechanism may be arranged between the manifold and the carriage to move the carriage and the filter between a disengaged position in which the filter fittings are spaced from the manifold fittings and an engaged position in which the filter fittings respectively engage the manifold fittings.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a filtration system and method for carrying out a process for the filtration of fluids, comprising at least one filtration device with at least one filtration element comprising readable data and a check and/or test apparatus to which the filtration device may be connected, by means of data and testing means lines. The check and/or testing device is connected to a process controller, by data exchange means, for regulation and control of the filtration process and the process controller is connected to a filtration databank, by means of data exchange means, which comprises data sets for at least one filter element and/or for each filtration device and/or for the filtration process. The invention further relates to a computer program product for carrying out a filtration process on fluids whereby program components may be called up from a program memory which support the carrying out of the filtration process.
Abstract:
A liquid filter, especially oil filter for an internal combustion engine, having a cup-shaped housing with a liquid inlet and a liquid outlet, a filter element arranged with a seal between the inlet and outlet, and a one-piece barrier membrane arranged in the area of the opening of the cup-shaped housing such that the liquid inlet and/or the liquid outlet can be closed by the barrier membrane.
Abstract:
A filter cartridge is provided. The filter cartridge includes a first end plate connected to a first end of a filter media, a second end plate connected to a second end of the filter media and a centering device. The centering device is located towards the second end of the filter media for aligning a pin of the first end plate into a hole of a filter housing. The centering device also includes first ribs at first opposing ends of the centering device and second ribs at second opposing ends of the centering device, the first and second ribs protruding inwardly toward the center of a centering device hole. The length of the first ribs towards the center of the centering device hole and the length of the second ribs towards the center of the centering device hole are designed to align with a cross-sectional shape of the standpipe hole.
Abstract:
A liquid filter arrangement is provided, as well as methods of assembly and use. The liquid filter arrangement includes an anti-drain back valve assembly therein. Advantageous features, relating to a preferred filter cartridge and preferred anti-drain back valve arrangement, are provided.
Abstract:
A system comprising a fluid treatment assembly, means for feeding the assembly with fluid to be treated and receiving treated fluid, and a structure (12) on which the assembly is adapted to be removably mounted, to interengage complementary connectors thereof with each other, is characterized in that it includes cooperating functional surfaces (25) formed on the assembly and the structure (12) so that they can enter into mutual contact to immobilize the assembly against movement in translation and keep the connectors interengaged with each other when the assembly is mounted on the structure (12) and to allow the assembly to be released in order to remove it from the structure (12) by exerting on the assembly an action limited to tilting it relative to the structure (12) and guided by the connectors interengaged with each other.
Abstract:
A modular filter system using replaceable filter cartridges includes a locking arrangement that prevents rotation of the flow control valve spindle in the filter head, but includes an unlocking arrangement on the cartridge that unlocks the locking arrangement if the proper replacement cartridge is used. The locking arrangement may include spring biased locking pins carried on the filter head and matching unlocking pins on the filter cartridge to operate through an intermediate adaptor ring that is set on assembly to match the positions of the locking and unlocking pins.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an aircraft filter device comprising a hydraulic block adapted to receive removably a filter (2) comprising a vessel (3) receiving a cartridge (4), wherein the vessel is fitted internally with a pin (6) of elastically deformable material comprising firstly a key (8) that extends towards the opening of the vessel and that includes a curved end (9) that projects beyond an edge of the vessel, and secondly a finger (10) that extends towards the bottom of the vessel, and that is oriented towards the center thereof, so that when a cartridge is put into place in the vessel, the finger is pushed back by the cartridge and forces the key to retract so that its curved end no longer projects radially from the vessel, the cartridge being fitted with an external obstacle (14) that co-operates with one end of the finger in order to prevent the cartridge being withdrawn from the vessel.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an aircraft filter device comprising a hydraulic block (1) adapted to receive a removable filter (2) comprising a vessel (3) that receives a cartridge (4). In accordance with the invention, an insert (21) is screwed tightly into an internal thread (20) of the hydraulic block, the insert itself having an internal thread (22) into which the vessel is screwed, the device also including rotation-preventing means (23, 32) for preventing the vessel from moving in rotation once it has been screwed into the insert.
Abstract:
A filter configured to separate the solid components and the liquid components from a slurry. The filter includes a plurality of filter plate assemblies that cooperate to define a plurality of filter chambers, each defining a perimeter having an open section when the filter plates are in a closed position relative to one another. Each filter plate assembly includes a closure configured to close the open section. Preferably, the closures are movable to an open position to permit a particulate cake to be removed from the filter chambers without separating the filter plates.
