    Abstract: In one example, a printhead assembly includes multiple printheads arranged along a line in a staggered configuration in which each printhead in a group of far printheads overlaps a printhead in a group of near printheads. Each printhead includes a pedestal, a printhead die mounted to the pedestal, an IC to drive fluid ejector elements in the printhead die, and a flex circuit. The IC is connected to the printhead die and mounted to the pedestal next to the die. The body of a flex circuit is connected to and covers the IC. The tail of each flex circuit from a far printhead extends past a pedestal in a near printhead.

    Abstract: There is provided a liquid discharging apparatus including: a substrate formed with a first pressure chamber and two second pressure chambers; a vibration film; a first piezoelectric element; two second piezoelectric elements; a first wire connected to the first piezoelectric element; two second wires connected to the two second piezoelectric elements, respectively; and three contact sections to which the first wire and the two second wires are connected, respectively. The first wire passes between the two second piezoelectric elements and extends toward one of the three contact sections corresponding thereto; and length in the first direction of second active portions in second piezoelectric portions of the two second piezoelectric elements, is shorter than that of a first active portion in a first piezoelectric portion of the first piezoelectric element; and length in the second direction of the second active portion is longer than that of the first active portion.

    Abstract: A liquid ejecting head includes a flow channel forming substrate that is provided with a space constituting a pressure generating chamber which communicates with nozzle openings, a vibration plate that is stacked on one surface of the flow channel forming substrate and seals the space, and a piezoelectric element that includes a first electrode, a piezoelectric layer, and a second electrode sequentially stacked on a surface of the vibration plate opposite to the flow channel forming substrate, in which the first electrode is formed, in which at least a width of a first direction along the opposite surface is narrower than the space in a region corresponding to the space, the piezoelectric layer is stacked so as to overlap the first electrode and at least a part of the vibration plate in the region corresponding to the space, the second electrode is stacked so as to overlap the piezoelectric layer in the region corresponding to the space, and as a thickness of a stacked direction of the piezoelectric element is a thickness of the piezoelectric layer, a first thickness (D1) of the piezoelectric layer of a part positioned on the first electrode and a second thickness (D2) of the piezoelectric layer of a part positioned on the vibration plate satisfy a relationship of the first thickness (D1)>the second thickness (D2).

    Abstract: A fluid ejection device is provided with a valving element adapted to reciprocate in the containing chamber to thereby push the fluid out from the ejection port, and then block the ejection port with a tip part. The containing chamber is provided with a communication port for accepting the fluid pressure-fed from a supply section. In the case in which the valving element is located at a predetermined stopping position, a internal space of the containing chamber is divided by a boundary part, which is formed of a part of the valving element and a part of the containing chamber having contact with each other, into a first space including a part of the space between the ejection port and the communication port, and a second space in which the communication port opens.
