Abstract: A fiber reinforced polymer matrix composite structure includes a glass fiber layer and a carbon fiber layer in a cured resin. The glass fiber layer and the carbon fiber layer are laminated and present in a thickness direction of the structure. Two outermost layers of the fiber reinforced polymer matrix composite structure including the glass fiber layer and the carbon fiber layer are both the glass fiber layer. In the structure, a volume fraction of carbon fibers with respect to a total volume of glass fibers and carbon fibers is 0.67 or more.

The curved wall has an opening. The plurality of shear fittings is threaded into a plurality of blind holes in the curved wall around the opening. The plurality of bolts engages the plurality of shear fittings and joins a cap to the curved wall.

Abstract: A step of forming a low-angle helical layer on an outer surface of at least part of each liner dome portion and an outer surface of a liner cylindrical portion, a step of forming an inner hoop layer on an outer surface of the low-angle helical layer on the liner cylindrical portion, and a step of forming a mixed layer by alternately laminating a low-angle helical layer and an outer hoop layer on an outer surface of the inner hoop layer and low-angle helical layer on each liner dome portion. Then, on the liner cylindrical portion, 90% or more of the sum of the thickness of the inner hoop layer and the thickness of the outer hoop layer in the mixed layer is arranged within the range of 75% of the fiber reinforced plastics layer adjacent to the liner in a thickness direction of the fiber reinforced plastics layer.

Abstract: A low temperature fluid dual structure pipe includes: an inner pipe through which a low temperature fluid flows; and an outer pipe externally fitted to the inner pipe with a sealed tubular space therebetween. An inactive gas having a melting point and a boiling point each of which is equal to or higher than a temperature of the low temperature fluid is filled in the tubular space between the inner pipe and the outer pipe. When the low temperature fluid flows through the inner pipe, the inactive gas is liquefied or solidified, and therefore, at least one of a liquefied inactive gas layer and a solidified inactive gas layer is formed on an outer peripheral surface of the inner pipe. As a result, a pseudo vacuum layer that is in a substantially vacuum state is formed in the tubular space.

The resin liner has a tubular portion via which an inside of the resin liner communicates with an outside of the resin liner. The base includes a supply/discharge hole in which the tubular portion is inserted. The seal is provided between the tubular portion and the base in the supply/discharge hole. The collar has a through-hole and inserted into the tubular portion.

Abstract: A high-pressure tank includes a container main body (10) constituted of a body (11) and dome portions (12) disposed on both ends of the body, and a reinforcing layer (20) formed such that a fiber member is wound around an outer periphery of the container main body. The reinforcing layer includes a hoop winding layer (40) formed by hoop winding that winds the fiber member such that a winding angle is approximately perpendicular to a central axis of the body, and a high helical winding layer (30) formed by high helical winding that winds the fiber member such that a winding angle is inclined with respect to the central axis compared with the hoop winding, and the high helical winding layer extends to the dome portion. The high helical winding layer includes a thick portion having a thickness at an outer side part of a boundary position between the body and the dome portion, which thickness is thicker than a thickness at a part positioned on the body. The hoop winding layer is formed from the body to the dome portion where the thick portion is formed, as a layer at an outer diameter side of the high helical winding layer.

Abstract: A composite pressure container for fluids includes a pressure container, a boss (1), and a coupling or valve member (5) fitted in an opening in the boss. The pressure container includes an inner fluid-tight liner layer (4) and a pressure supporting layer (3) formed by winding fiber-reinforcement onto the liner layer. The boss is positioned in a central opening of the pressure container. The structure of the boss comprises a depressurization passage for preventing build-up of internal pressure inside the boss.

Abstract: A pressure vessel has an interior chamber and includes an outer shell, a boss, and an internal liner disposed within the outer shell. The boss includes a port extending between the interior chamber and an exterior of the pressure vessel; and an annular flange extending radially from the port and having an exterior surface and an interior surface. The liner includes an exterior portion adjacent the exterior surface of the flange; an interior portion adjacent the interior surface of the flange; and a vent in the interior portion. A method for forming a pressure vessel includes mounting a boss on a mandrel, flowing a non-metallic polymer around a flange of the boss to form an internal liner of the pressure vessel, forming a vent in an interior portion of the liner; and forming an outer shell surrounding the liner and at least a portion of the flange of the boss.

Abstract: The high pressure tank comprises a tank main body including a liner made of a resin and a mouthpiece made of a non-resin material and mounted to an open end of the liner; and a reinforcement layer provided to cover the entire tank main body and have pressure resistance. The liner includes a first contact surface arranged approximately perpendicular to a central axis of the liner to come into contact with the mouthpiece. The mouthpiece includes a second contact surface arranged to come into contact with the first contact surface of the liner. One of the first contact surface and the second contact surface includes projections, and the other includes recesses in which the projections being fitted. The second contact surface is formed in an approximately circular shape.
