Abstract:
The invention relates to a spring strut top mounting, comprising at least one shaping base body, wherein the at least one shaping base body has a dome-shaped section in the region connecting to the spring strut and at least one separate, local reinforcement element which is connected to the base body. The object of making available a spring strut top mounting which has improved rigidity, in particular improved local rigidity, is achieved according to the invention in that the base body has at least one stamped region in the region connecting to the spring strut, and the at least one reinforcement element lays against the base body at least in the vicinity of the at least one stamped region.
Abstract:
Underground drilling operation often requires connecting a drill tool (e.g., drill bit, backreamer, etc.) to a drill string. It is desirable to connect the drill tools to a drill string in a manner that facilitates quick and easy assembly and disassembly. Low torque coupling, commonly referred to as “torque-less” connection, can provide such functionality. The useful life and strength of such connections can be improved upon. The present disclosure provides a low torque coupling with improved strength and durability.
Abstract:
A piping connection device includes a female block member fixed integrally with a male block member, and a first pipe is inserted into the female block member. The piping connection device further includes a drain passage through which a part of an outer peripheral surface of the first pipe communicates with an outer surface of the female block member. The drain passage is disposed in a portion higher in heat capacity than the other portions in the female block member.
Abstract:
An example casing joint assembly includes a casing joint having an upper end and a lower end, an upper coupling joint having a first portion configured to be coupled to an upper casing section and a second portion coupled to the casing joint at the upper end, a joint interface securing the first portion to the second portion, wherein the first portion is made of a first material and the second portion is made of a second material dissimilar to the first material, and an inner coating applied on an inner radial surface of the upper coupling joint and extending axially across at least the joint interface.
Abstract:
A pipe coupling apparatus adapted to allow for the connection of older, common sewer or drain pipe made of concrete, clay or the like to that of the newer style polymers such as ABS, CPCV, PVC and the like. It accomplishes this through a novel connection method that eliminates having to cut off the bell end of the older sewer or drain pipe and provides for a method of stabilizing the alignment of the two connected pipes. The apparatus incorporates a pipe coupling and a flexible polymer sleeve, and depending on the dimensions of the pipes involved, may require an optional seal ring. The assembly time is greatly reduced over the prior art methodologies and the coupled pipes are less likely to leak.
Abstract:
There is provided a breech lock coupling for coupling riser sections together. The breech lock coupling may be used non-pre-loaded or pre-loaded according to the user's preferences. In addition, the breech lock coupling may be disassembled for inspection and maintenance and reassembled. A locking ring secures two coupling components together. The coupling components may be attached to opposite ends of the riser sections, such as via welding. The locking ring may be pre-attached to the first coupling component for easy storage and fast assembly. Assembly of the riser may be accomplished by inserting the second coupling component into the locking ring and the first coupling component, then rotating the locking ring with respect to the second component. Furthermore, the coupling may be pre-loaded by tightening fasteners on the locking ring to provide a more stable coupling. Unlike with traditional riser couplings, the pre-load fasteners may be tightened via hand-held tools.
Abstract:
An electrical connector has a male portion having a center channel passing therethrough and having a dovetail tenon. The center channel of the male portion is configured to hold an electrical cord of a power consuming device. A female portion has a center channel passing therethrough and a dovetail mortise adapted to mate with the dovetail tenon. The center channel of the female portion is configured to hold electrical wires from an electrical power source.
Abstract:
The disclosed technology relates to a vacuum pipe connecting member and provides a vacuum pipe connecting member for detecting in real time a gas leak from a pipe connection between vacuum pipes. In one aspect, the vacuum pipe connecting member is provided to include: a clamp for connecting a vacuum pipe to another vacuum pipe or to a semiconductor manufacturing apparatus; and a reactant that is provided in the clamp and is chemically reactive to a gas leaking from the pipe connection.
