Abstract: Various embodiments illustrated herein disclose a radio-frequency identification (RFID) reader having a first RFID tag having a first antenna element operating at a first transmit power. The first RFID tag receives, in a first time interval, a first interrogation command from a first RFID reader through the first antenna element. The first RFID tag transmits, in the first time interval, a first response signal to the first RFID reader. The RFID reader comprises a second antenna element that operates at a second transmit power and a processor communicatively coupled to the second antenna element. The processor transmits, in the first time interval, a second interrogation command to one or more second RFID tags through the second antenna element. The first RFID tag transmits, in a second time interval, a third interrogation command to a first RFID tag of a second RFID reader through the first antenna element.

Abstract: A method for monitoring the location accuracy of an object tracking system includes receiving, from the object tracking system, a recorded position of a wireless test tag installed at a fixed position. This fixed position may be accurately determined without the tracking system, for example, using a laser measurement device. The method includes determining a positioning error of the tracking system by comparing the recorded position, as measured with the tracking system, to the fixed position. The method also includes outputting, in response to the positioning error exceeding a threshold, an indication that the tracking system has reduced accuracy. The method may be extended to several test tags located at several fixed positions throughout the operating area of the tracking system, in which case the indication of reduced accuracy may be generated when any one or more of the test tags has a positioning error exceeding the threshold.

Abstract: Aspects of the technology described herein provide a system for an improved inventory system using RFID information. A first user device may initiate a team scanning session and a second user device may join the team scanning session. RFID scan data received by each of the first user device and the second user device may be filtered, aggregated, and sent to an inventory system using a first IoT topic. An inventory list for the team scanning session may be updated with the information provided by each of the first and second user devices and published to each of the user devices using a second IoT topic. Additional RFID scan data received by each user device may trigger an indication to the user that a particular RFID scan data had not yet been scanned during the team scanning session.
