Abstract: To provide a fuel cell system configured to reduce false cross leak judgment. A fuel cell system wherein the controller preliminarily stores a first data group indicating a relationship between the flow rate of the oxidant gas, the opening degree of the bypass valve, and the hydrogen concentration of the oxidant off-gas; and wherein before the controller determines whether or not a cross leak has occurred, the controller varies the hydrogen concentration threshold used for determining whether or not a cross leak has occurred, by comparing the flow rate of the oxidant gas measured by the oxidant gas flow rate sensor and the opening degree of the bypass valve with the first data group.

Abstract: A system for electric vehicle charging and hydrogen fueling leverages existing infrastructure of a localized renewable energy microgrid and utilizes excess generated energy to power an electrolyzer to produce hydrogen gas on site that is compressed and stored in a pressure vessel. A first portion of the stored hydrogen gas may be used for hydrogen fueling of a fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) via a hydrogen fuel dispenser that is provided at a charging station. A second portion of the stored hydrogen gas may be converted into electricity through use of one or more fuel cells. The generated electricity may be used for charging a battery of a battery electric vehicle (BEV) via an electric vehicle charging dispenser that is also provided at the charging station.

Abstract: In this fuel cell, a cathode-side porous film that covers a cathode electrode is interposed between the cathode electrode and an air supply layer, the cathode electrode constituting electrolyte film/electrode structures. In addition, breathing holes are formed in the cathode-side porous film, and the air flowing through air supply passages passes through the breathing holes and is supplied to the cathode electrode.

Abstract: A method for determining an average oxidation state (AOS) of a redox flow battery system includes measuring a charge capacity for a low potential charging period starting from a discharged state of the redox flow battery system to a turning point of a charge voltage; and determining the AOS using the measured charge capacity and volumes of anolyte and catholyte of the redox flow battery system. Other methods can be used to determine the AOS for a redox flow battery system or use discharge voltage instead of charging voltage.
