Abstract:
Disclosed is an SIP based message service. If a message service server receives a quick answer addition request from a user terminal, the server detects a quick answer text and a quick answer ID, assigned corresponding to the quick answer text, in the quick answer addition request, and stores the detected quick answer text and quick answer ID in a quick answer list corresponding to the user terminal's user, thereby implementing quick answer addition. Further, if the message service server receives a quick answer sending request from the user terminal, the server detects a quick answer text, corresponding to a user ID contained in the quick answer sending request, in the quick answer list, configures a message containing the detected quick answer text, and sends the configured message to a recipient user terminal, thereby implementing quick answer sending.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention are directed to methods for providing captioned telephone service. One method includes initiating a first captioned telephone service call. During the first captioned telephone service call, a first set of captions is created using a human captioner. Simultaneous with creating the first set of captions using a human captioner, a second set of captions is created using an automated speech recognition captioner. The first set of captions and the second set of captions are compared using a scoring algorithm. In response to the score of second set of captions being within predetermined range of scores, the call is continued using only the automated speech recognition captioner. In response to the score of second set of captions being outside of a predetermined range of scores, the call is continued using a human captioner.
Abstract:
A computer-implemented system and method for performing distributed speech recognition is provided. Audio data is collected. A main grammar and secondary grammars are simultaneously provided for the audio data. Each secondary grammar includes an independent grammar. Speech recognition is simultaneously performed on the audio data using each secondary grammar. A new grammar is constructed for the audio data based on the main grammar template using results of the speech recognition. Further speech recognition is performed on the audio data using the new grammar.
Abstract:
Selecting one of a plurality of direct inward dialing numbers for dialing an international number preceded by a direct inward dialing number is disclosed. A destination phone number to be dialed by a wireless device is initially received at the wireless device. It is then determined that the destination phone number is an international destination phone number. In response to the determination that the destination phone number is an international destination phone number, one direct inward dialing number is selected from among a plurality of direct inward dialing numbers. The selected one direct inward dialing number connects the wireless device to a server. Next, the wireless device dials the one selected direct inward dialing number and determines that a connection between the wireless device and the server has been established. Finally, the international destination phone number is forwarded to the server.
Abstract:
A method of controlling communication quality between one node and at least one other node in a packet switched communication system, the method comprising the steps of detecting at one of said nodes a condition that indicates that communication quality is below an acceptable threshold, automatically generating instructions based on the detected condition for a user of the at least one node, said instructions intended to provide a remedy to improve the communication quality, and receiving input from a user of the at least one node responsive to the instructions to implement the remedy and thereby improve the communication quality.
Abstract:
Embodiments are configured to provide reminders associated with communications and other events. In an embodiment, components of a communication system can operate to generate, maintain, and implement reminders associated with communications and other events. A reminder can be automatically generated and scheduled for one or more users of the communication system when a user is unavailable or unable to take a call. Reminders can be generated to include information which can be used to establish a communication event for a subsequent communication associated with each reminder.
Abstract:
A method for sending an emergency call in a mobile terminal includes receiving a request for transmitting an emergency call in a screen-locked state; and displaying a keypad and/or an emergency button icon in response to the request.
Abstract:
A system and method for distributed speech recognition is provided. A prompt is provided to a caller during a call. One or more audio responses are received from the caller in response to the prompt. Distributed speech recognition is performed on the audio responses by providing a non-overlapping section of a main grammar to each of a plurality of secondary recognizers for each audio response. Speech recognition is performed on the audio responses by each of the secondary recognizers using the non-overlapping section of the main grammar associated with that secondary recognizer. A new grammar is generated based on results of the speech recognition from each of the secondary recognizers. Further speech recognition is performed on the audio responses against the new grammar and a further prompt is selected for providing to the caller based on results of the distributed speech recognition.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a communication device including a first communication part, a calling processing part, and a second communication part. The first communication part generates a response by a virtual communication party to a user's input and outputs the response from an output unit to realize first communication. The calling processing part controls a communication unit and performs calling processing on a communication device of a real communication party to call the real communication party when the first communication is realized by the first communication part. The second communication part controls the communication unit to supply the user's input accepted by the input unit to the communication device of the real communication party, acquires a response to the user's input from the communication device of the real communication party, and outputs the response to the output unit to realize second communication.
Abstract:
According to various exemplary embodiments, a communication request from a caller is received at a mobile device associated with a callee. A relationship between the caller and the callee is determined. Animation rule information is accessed, where the animation rule information describes a plurality of animation rules corresponding to a plurality of relationships. Thereafter, a display of an animation is generated via a user interface in the mobile device of the callee, based on a specific animation rule in the animation rule information that corresponds to the relationship between the caller and the callee.
