Abstract:
A portable and wearable sound recordable and playable device comprising: a front cover and a back cover, that form a housing, which includes a cavity for holding componentry; the componentry including at least a microphone and a speaker, wherein the front cover and back cover are substantially similar in shape and include a curvature so that a cavity of air is formed between the speaker and the front wall cover; wherein the front cover and the back cover when attached form an acoustic geometry.
Abstract:
A ballistic headset comprises an ear cup that includes a shell made of a ballistic material. The shell may include one or more layers of the ballistic material, and a wire mesh sandwiched between two of the layers. The ear cup includes a cavity that houses one or more speakers and a filler material. An opening of the cavity may be covered with a wire mesh that prevents spall from passing toward the wearer's ear.
Abstract:
In an embodiment a lid includes a top section and a side section arranged below the top section. A vertical height of the top section is calculated by ITS*HB, ITS being a first multiple integer and HB being a basic height, and a vertical height of the side section is calculated by Iss* HB, Iss being a second multiple integer and HB being the basic height HB.
Abstract:
A display apparatus includes a display panel configured to display an image by emitting light, and a sound generating device on a rear surface of the display panel. The sound generating device includes a bobbin, and a protection member on the bobbin.
Abstract:
Various embodiments of a speaker and a method of forming such speaker are disclosed. The speaker includes a frame having a first major surface, a second major surface, and an opening disposed between the first and second major surfaces; a cone disposed adjacent the first major surface of the frame; and an adhesive layer disposed on at least a portion of the second major surface of the frame. The adhesive layer occludes the opening of the frame.
Abstract:
A drum-mounted furniture-grade speaker driver system comprising at least one drum shell, at least one drumhead, at least one speaker driver, and at least one reinforcement ring. The at least one drumhead is mounted in an opening of the drum shell. The at least one speaker driver is mounted in an opening in the at least one drumhead. The at least one reinforcement ring is sized to span an area between an interior perimeter of the opening in the at least one drumhead and an outer perimeter of the at least one speaker driver. The at least one speaker driver has at least one electronic speaker terminal thereon. A length of speaker wire electrically connects the at least one speaker driver to an amplifier and the amplifier to at least one terminal on an exterior surface of the at least one drum shell.
Abstract:
An accessory tray for a loudspeaker includes a main portion defining a perimeter and a base surface configured to support an accessory within the perimeter. An anchor portion extends under the base surface of the main portion, the anchor portion configured to engage a portion of the loudspeaker. The main portion has a tapering height from a rear to a front thereof, forming a rake angle in side view.
Abstract:
A microphone apparatus including: a casing; a composite material located within the casing, the composite material including at least in part conductive particles, the composite material configured to alter an internal impedance based on a surface disturbance transmitted by an acoustic wave, and wherein the microphone apparatus is configured to be coupled to a surface that transmitted the acoustic wave.
Abstract:
A biodegradable microphone has a housing fabricated from a biodegradable ferromagnetic filament. The ferromagnetic filament is based on a biodegradable polymer having embedded magnetic materials. The housing has a body portion, an open first end and an opposite second end having a central opening. A permanent magnet is removably lodged within the central opening. The ferromagnetic filament and the magnet cooperate to produce a magnetic field within the housing interior. A biodegradable diaphragm is joined to the open first end of the housing. The diaphragm has an interior side facing the housing interior. A biodegradable coil is joined to the interior side and extends downward into the housing interior and is in proximity to the permanent magnet. Vibrations of the diaphragm cause a reciprocating motion of the coil within the magnetic field thereby inducing an electrical current in the coil.
Abstract:
A headphone earcup comprising: a frame defining an acoustic cavity that is acoustically coupled to a driver; an earcup cushion coupled to the frame and surrounding the acoustic cavity; and an adsorbent member acoustically coupled to the acoustic cavity to cause an acoustic enlargement of the acoustic cavity.
