Abstract:
An improved wood textile bobbin which is provided with two layers of protective coatings, the first layer being made up of ricinoleate diphenyl methane diisocyanate prepolymer (MDI) trifunctional polyether polyol (TPP), and the second layer being composed of MDI, TPP, acrylic copolymer, and to a process for producing such a bobbin.
Abstract:
The staining of latex paints on wood due to bleeding of watersoluble tannin into the paint film is inhibited by the application to the wood of a water-soluble S-aryl cycloaliphatic sulfonium compound prior to or concurrently with the application of the latex paint.
Abstract:
Woods of a high phenolic content can be coated or painted with vinylidene chloride emulsions which contain an organic monocarboxylic acid and buffering salts without being susceptible to bleeding. Surfaces of redwoods and/or cedars painted with formulations containing the vinylidene chloride emulsion composition exhibit unexpectedly superior resistance against deterioration and bleeding even after weathering for prolonged periods of time under adverse climatic conditions.
Abstract:
THE PRESENT INVENTION IS CONCERNED WITH A REUSABLE FORM BOARD OF ANY MATERIAL, SUCH AS WOOD, PLYWOOD, HARDBOARD, CEMENT-ASBESTOS OR OTHER FIBROUS BOARD, AND A POROUS POLYMER COATING, WITH OR WITHOUT SOLID MATERIALS, PREFERABLY MICROSPHERES, USED WITH AN OIL COATING APPLIED TO THE BOARD EITHER BEFORE OR AFTER THE PLASTIC COATING, OR AS A BLEND OF THE PLASTIC COATING AND OIL.
