Abstract: A vehicle occupant re-straining device, comprising an air bag inflated and deployed on both sides of a vehicle occupant; tension cloth housed so as to extend from the inside of the seat back of a seat into a seat cushion; an angle detection means for detecting the reclining angle of the seat back; and an inner pressure control means for controlling, depending on the reclining angle, pressure in the air bag at the time of inflation and deployment thereof, wherein the tension cloth is deployed on the sides of the seat when the surface material of the seat is broken open by the inflation and deployment of the air bag, thereby holding the surfaces of the air bag, which are located on the opposite sides of the vehicle occupant, and wherein the inner pressure control means reduces pressure in the air bag.

Abstract: For example, even when an occupant is seated offset in a left-right direction, an airbag is reliably expanded and deployed. An airbag device contains: an airbag that protects at least a side portion of a shoulder region, upper arm region, and chest region of an occupant seated on a vehicle seat; and an inflator that supplies gas to the airbag. The airbag has a pair of side part protection chambers that are housed on at least both left and right sides of the vehicle seat. The side part protection chambers, when expanded and deployed, expand and deploy forward independently from both left and right sides of the vehicle seat. A pair of the inflators are provided to allow gas to be supplied to each side part protection chamber, and the ignition timing of the inflators can be controlled separately.

Abstract: The present invention is an airbag device that is housed in the instrument panel of a vehicle and includes an inflator for generating inflation gas and an airbag that inflates and deploys toward the occupant side via gas released from the inflator. The airbag has a front protection part located in front of the occupant when deployed and a pair of side protruding parts located on the sides of the front protection part in the vehicle width direction and protruding further toward the occupant side than the front protection part. Abstract: [Problem] To enable an airbag module to be assuredly assembled to a cored bar.
[Resolution Means] The present invention is applied to a steering wheel including: a cored bar member; and an airbag module which houses an airbag cushion and an inflator and is coupled to the cored bar member via a coupling pin, wherein the steering wheel employs a configuration in which the coupling pin extends from the airbag module side to the cored bar member side. The steering wheel according to the present invention includes: a coil spring arranged outside the coupling pin; and a support member supporting the upper end of the coil spring at a peripheral part of the coupling pin. Moreover, the support member includes a hook which includes: a support surface protruding in the direction vertical to the shaft of the coupling pin in order to support the upper end part of the coil spring; and a side extending from this support surface towards the lower side of the coupling pin. In addition, the coil spring is configured so as not to interfere with the side of the hook.-

Abstract: An airbag apparatus equipped in a vehicle seat having a seat cushion that forms a seating surface and a seat back that forms a backrest includes: an inflator that generates inflation gas; and an airbag housed within at least the seat back and deployed by inflation gas released from the inflator. The airbag includes a pair of left and right side chambers that deploy towards the front from a side portion of the seat back and an upper chamber that deploys above the head of a passenger. The airbag is rolled in a direction that intersects the longitudinal direction from a flat unfolded state prior to being housed or folded to be compressed into a long bar shape. A folded portion is formed by folding at least a location corresponding to the upper chamber of the long bar shaped airbag to house the folded portion above the seat back.

[Solving Means]. An airbag device according to the present invention includes: a gas generator that generates expansion gas; an airbag that expands and deploys due to the expansion gas to restrain an occupant; and a diffuser disposed inside the airbag to control a flow of the expansion gas. Given that a direction toward the occupant is a first direction, the diffuser includes a receiving surface disposed between the gas generator and the airbag in the first direction to receive the expansion gas discharged from the gas generator; and a plurality of band-like connecting members having one end connected to an edge of the receiving surface and the other end directly or indirectly connected to the gas generator.-
