    Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for organizing trained and untrained neural networks. In one aspect, a neural network device includes a collection of node assemblies interconnected by between-assembly links, each node assembly itself comprising a network of nodes interconnected by a plurality of within-assembly links, wherein each of the between-assembly links and the within-assembly links have an associated weight, each weight embodying a strength of connection between the nodes joined by the associated link, the nodes within each assembly being more likely to be connected to other nodes within that assembly than to be connected to nodes within others of the node assemblies.

    Abstract: A co-rotating scroll machine operable as compressor or expander, comprises a transmission and guidance mechanism for first and second scroll plates, having three transmission and guidance units uniformly distributed around the scroll plates towards the periphery thereof. Each transmission and guidance unit comprises a male element mounted on one of the scroll plates and a facing female element mounted on the facing scroll plate. Each transmission and guidance unit comprises an internal ring mounted for angular displacement in the opening of the female element, the internal ring having therein a slot wherein the male element of the transmission and guidance unit slides. The male of the three transmission and guidance units are supported and guided by respective support elements on a common external guide ring. A liquid injection system comprises a liquid channel which is connected with bleed holes.

    Abstract: Aqueous effluent treatment system including a separation reactor having a reactor chamber fluidly connected to an aqueous effluent source, connected via a pump to an inlet of the reactor chamber, a fluid extraction system connected to a liquid effluent outlet at a top of the reactor chamber, and a solid residue extraction system connected to a solid residue outlet at a bottom of the reactor chamber. The separation reactor is operable to generate pressures exceeding 22 MPa and temperatures exceeding 300° C. in the reactor chamber configured to generate a supercritical zone in an upper portion of the reactor chamber to which the liquid effluent outlet is connected, and a subcritical zone in a lower portion of the chamber within the reactor chamber to which the solid residue outlet is connected. The solid residue extraction system comprises an output circuit comprising a collector coupled to the solid residue outlet via a collector input valve (V1) and to a water output tank via a filter and a collector liquid output valve (V4) operable to be opened to cause a pressure drop at the solid residue outlet to draw solid residue out of the reactor chamber, the solid residue extraction system further comprising a gas feed circuit connected via a gas supply valve (V5) to the collector, the gas supply valve operable to be opened to extract solid residues in the collector to a solids output tank connected to the collector via a collector solids output valve (V6).

    Abstract: A semiconductor sensor includes a source element; a drain element; and a semiconductor channel element between the source element and the drain element, forming an electrically conductive channel. An insulator is positioned between the semiconductor channel element and a solution to be sensed. A reference contacts the solution and sets an electric potential of the solution. A bias voltage source generates an external sensor bias voltage for electrically biasing the reference electrode. A sensing surface interacts with the solution comprising analytes for generating a surface potential change at the sensing surface dependent on the concentration of analytes. The sensor further includes a ferroelectric capacitance element between the insulator and the bias voltage source for generating a negative capacitance for a differential gain between the external sensor bias voltage and an internal sensor bias voltage sensed at a surface of the channel element facing the insulator or ferroelectric capacitance element.

    Abstract: System (2) for CO2 capture from a combustion engine (1) comprising an exhaust gas flow circuit (6) having an inlet end fluidly connected to an exhaust of the combustion engine, a heat exchanger circuit (12), a primary exhaust gas heat exchanger (H1) for transferring heat from exhaust gas to fluid in the heat exchanger circuit, at least one compressor (10) for compressing fluid in a section of the heat exchanger circuit, the compressor driven by thermal expansion of heat exchanger circuit fluid from the primary exhaust gas heat exchanger (H1), and a CO2 temperature swing adsorption (TSA) reactor (4) fluidly connected to an outlet end of the exhaust gas flow circuit. The TSA reactor includes at least an adsorption reactor unit (D4) and a desorption reactor unit (D2), the heat exchanger circuit comprising a heating section (12b) for heating the desorption unit (D2) and a cooling section (12a) for cooling the adsorption unit (D4).
