Abstract: A vehicular camera system includes an attaching structure configured to attach at an in-cabin side of a vehicle windshield. A camera module accommodates a circuit board having circuitry disposed at both sides of the circuit board. An imager is disposed at a first side of the circuit board. The camera module includes a lens accommodated in a lens barrel. With the attaching structure attached at the in-cabin side of the vehicle windshield, and with the camera module attached at the attaching structure, the lens barrel protrudes from the casing and a portion of the lens barrel is partially disposed in a pocket defined by the stray light shield and the vehicle windshield. A coaxial connector is electrically connected to circuitry disposed at the second side of the circuit board. Image data captured by the camera module is transferred to an electronic control unit of the vehicle via the coaxial connector.

Abstract: A vehicular trailer assist system includes a camera disposed at a rear portion of a vehicle and having an exterior field of view that includes at least a portion of a trailer hitched to the vehicle. A control, responsive to processing of frames of image data captured by the camera and during a calibration maneuver by the vehicle, determines a trailer template of trailer hitched to the vehicle. The control, during a turning portion of the calibration maneuver, determines a trailer collision angle based on the determined trailer template. The control, after completion of the calibration maneuver, determines a current trailer angle of the trailer relative to the vehicle as the vehicle is driven along a road. The control alerts an operator of the vehicle if the current trailer angle is within a threshold amount of the determined trailer collision angle.

Abstract: A vehicular trailer angle detection system includes a rear camera, a left-side camera, a right-side camera and a control having an image processor. With a trailer hitched at a vehicle, and while the vehicle is driven in a forward direction and towing the trailer, image data is captured by at least one of the cameras. The vehicular trailer angle detection system determines an expected location of the portion of the trailer based on provided vehicle-trailer parameters as the vehicle is driven forward and towing the trailer. The vehicular trailer angle detection system determines an actual location of the portion of the trailer via processing of captured image data as the vehicle is driven forward and towing the trailer. Responsive to an offset between the determined actual location of the portion of the trailer and the determined expected location, the vehicular trailer angle detection system accommodates the offset.

Abstract: A vehicular control system includes a sensor disposed at a vehicle and sensing exterior and at least forward of the vehicle. The vehicular control system is operable in a student driver mode. The vehicular control system, responsive to processing the sensor data, determines when the vehicle is undertaking a parking maneuver. Abstract: A vehicular lane keeping system includes a forward-viewing camera disposed at a windshield of a vehicle and an electronic control unit (ECU). The ECU is operable to (i) process map data relating to a current geographic location of the vehicle and (ii) process vehicle information relating to current operation of the vehicle in a traffic lane of a road. Responsive to (i) processing of image data captured by the forward-viewing camera and (ii) processing of the map data and (iii) processing of the vehicle information, the vehicular lane keeping system determines a path of travel for the vehicle that keeps the vehicle in the traffic lane during situations where lane markings are not readily determinable. The vehicular lane keeping system determines the path of travel even when no lane markings are present on the road. The vehicular lane keeping system maintains the vehicle along the determined path of travel.

Abstract: A vehicular driver monitoring system includes an interior camera viewing at least a head region of a driver of a vehicle. Driver information pertaining to the driver of the vehicle is provided to an electronic control unit (ECU). Based at least in part on (i) processing at the ECU of image data captured by the interior camera and/or (ii) the received driver information, the vehicular driver monitoring system estimates a distraction workload of the driver and a driving workload of the driver. At least in part responsive to processing at the ECU of the estimated distraction workload and the estimated driving workload, the vehicular driver monitoring system determines an amount of driver attention. The amount of driver attention is determined at least in part by weighting the driving workload and the distraction workload based at least in part on driving conditions.

Abstract: A vehicular camera includes a lens barrel having a lens, a front camera housing having an aperture therethrough, and an imager printed circuit board (imager PCB) having an imager. The imager PCB is attached at the front camera housing with the imager aligned with the aperture. An attaching portion of the lens barrel is positioned at least partially in the aperture of the front camera housing with a gap between the attaching portion and the front camera housing that circumscribes the attaching portion. With the attaching portion positioned at least partially in the aperture, a filler material is disposed at least partially within the gap. After the lens is aligned relative to the imager, the filler material is heated to melt and flow into the gap, whereby the melted filler material hardens upon cooling to secure the lens barrel relative to the front camera housing and the imager PCB.

Abstract: A vehicular camera includes (i) a lens barrel accommodating a lens, (ii) a lens holder having a passageway and (iii) an imager printed circuit board attached to the lens holder with the imager facing the lens. The lens barrel at least partially passes through the passageway of the lens holder when attaching the lens barrel to the lens holder. The imager printed circuit board is attached to the lens holder with the imager facing the lens and optically aligned with the lens. A biasing element urges the lens barrel in a direction outward away from the imager printed circuit board. With the imager printed circuit board attached to the lens holder, the lens barrel is fine adjustable relative to the lens holder. A rear housing attached at the lens holder to encase the imager printed circuit board.

Abstract: A vehicular control system includes an electronic control unit (ECU) disposed at a vehicle. The ECU includes electronic circuitry and associated software. The electronic circuitry of the ECU is operable to receive transmissions and to transmit signals. Responsive to determination that a determined mobile device is located at a driver seat region of the interior cabin of the vehicle, and responsive to determination that the vehicle is moving at a speed above a threshold speed, the vehicular control system transmits a blocking signal to at least partially disable operation of the determined mobile device located at the driver seat region of the interior cabin.
