Method of performing cooperative communication in wireless LAN includes determining, by receiver, whether cooperative communication is necessary based on transmission request signal provided from transmitter, when it is determined that the cooperative communication is necessary, transmitting, by the receiver, transmission response signal instructing the cooperative communication, overhearing, by a plurality of devices, the transmission response signal instructing the cooperative communication, transmitting, by at least one of the devices, response signal for supporting relaying to the transmitter, selecting, by the transmitter, a relay based on the response signal, transmitting, by the transmitter, data to the relay, and attaching, by the relay, data of the relay to the data transmitted by the transmitter and transmitting result data to the receiver. Thus, average transmission rate of wireless LAN can be improved with minimized overhead, and additional transmission opportunity can be provided to relaying device, thereby properly rewarding relaying device.

Provided is a method and apparatus for generating a side information bitstream of a multi-object audio signal. The apparatus for generating a side information bitstream of a multi-object audio signal includes a spatial cue information input unit configured to receive spatial cue information generated in an encoder of the multi-object audio signal, a preset information input unit configured to receive preset information for the multi-object audio signal, and a side information bitstream generator configured to generate the side information bitstream based on the spatial cue information and the preset information. The side information bitstream includes a header region and a frame region, and the preset information is included in the frame region.

Provided are an apparatus and method for coding and decoding a multi object audio signal with multi channel. The apparatus includes: a multi channel encoding means for down-mixing an audio signal including a plurality of channels, generating a spatial cue for the audio signal including the plurality of channels, and generating first rendering information including the generated spatial cue; and a multi object encoding unit for down-mixing an audio signal including a plurality of objects, which includes the down-mixed signal from the multi channel encoding unit, generating a spatial cue for the audio signal including the plurality of objects, and generating second rendering information including the generated spatial cue, wherein the multichannel encoding unit generates a spatial cue for the audio signal including the plurality of objects regardless of a Coder-DECoder (CODEC) scheme the limits the multi channel encoding unit.

A buffering apparatus and method for packet aggregation are provided. A buffer buffers packet data to be transmitted on a frame basis. An aggregator represents the positions of the buffered packet data in an Access Category (AC) bitmap and a Traffic Identifier (TID) bitmap according to an AC and a TID of the buffered packet data, and provides a bitmap indicating the positions of packet data to be aggregated according to an aggregation condition to an aggregation controller. The aggregation controller aggregates the packet data based on the bitmap received from the aggregator, constructs an aggregation Physical Service Data Unit (PSDU) with the aggregated packet data, and transmits the aggregation PSDU to a destination.

A wireless communication method according to the present invention, in a Bluetooth device connected to multiple piconets and operating in a scatter mode, includes steps of (a) establishing credit values by link for the multiple piconets, and the total sum of the credit values by link as a temporary account value; (b) updating the credit values by link and the temporary account value every slot based on a predetermined manner; (c) performing communications through a link selected based on a comparison result of the credit values by link at each Presence Point(PP); and (d) unevenly redistributing predetermined credit values based on characteristics by link and returning to the step (b) in one of the two cases in which the communications are interrupted with a POLL_NULL sequence and the temporary account value becomes the same as the total number, n, of links.

Disclosed are a back light assembly for preventing discoloration and deformation caused by heat generated from a lamp, and a liquid crystal display device for displaying an enhanced image. The back light assembly includes a receiving container, a lamp, a glass substrate and a diffuser. The receiving container has a receiving space. The lamp for generating the light is disposed in the receiving space. The glass substrate is interposed between the liquid crystal display panel and the lamp. The diffuser diffuses the light generated by the lamp so as to unify a luminance distribution of the liquid crystal display panel. The liquid crystal display device includes the back light assembly.

Disclosed are a backlight assembly and a liquid crystal display device using the same. A ratio of a pitch, which is an interval between the lamps for supplying light to an LCD panel, to a gap, which is a distance between the center of the lamps and an optical plate, is adjusted to thereby minimize the bright line that badly influences the image display quality, so as to display a high quality image.

The lamp includes a first portion of a face and a second portion of the face. The light emitted from the first portion of the face advances toward the liquid crystal display panel. The lamp fixing holder comprises a lamp fixing body and a fixing member. The lamp fixing body holds a third portion of the face of the lamp. The second portion includes the third portion. The fixing member fixes the lamp fixing body to the receiving container. The lamp fixing holder according to the present invention fixes the lamp so that the lamp does not sway, while minimizing an amount of light that is shielded by the lamp fixing holder.

Disclosed is a backlight assembly and an LCD apparatus having uniform brightness and low power consumption. The backlight assembly has a plurality of lamps for providing light to the LCD panel. Each of the plurality of lamps has two or more sub-lamps connected to each other in series. The backlight assembly has a brightness control unit disposed between the sub-lamps to reduce a brightness difference.
