Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. In wireless systems supporting multiple-input, multiple-output (MIMO) transmissions, devices may implement beam-forming to improve reliability of communications. A user equipment (UE) may select a set of beams, and corresponding beam indices, for communication based on reference signals received from a base station. The UE may determine values corresponding to each of the beam indices using a scalable set of tables. For example, the UE may select a subset of the tables based on the number of selected beams, and may determine the values based on these tables. In this way, the UE may efficiently store sets of tables for multiple different configurations. The UE may sum the corresponding values to obtain a combination index value, and may transmit the combination index value to the base station. The base station may determine the selected beams based on this combination index value.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for communicating an uplink grant and a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) trigger. A wireless device may identify e a pending collision for a slot of a carrier between a CSI-RS and uplink data. The wireless device may determine a communication configuration for the CSI-RS and the uplink data such that no collision occurs. The determined communication configuration for the CSI-RS may include delaying one of the colliding signals, transmitting only one of the colliding signals and suppressing the other, or reconfiguring the slot such that both signals can be transmitted successfully. Additionally, the UE and the base station may determine a CSI reporting configuration based on the determined communication configuration.

Abstract: A signaling design for multiple aperiodic channel state information (M-A-CSI) feedback is disclosed. In new radio (NR) networks, there may be scenarios where M-A-CSI are triggered and reported simultaneously. Timing issues may arise because of the different delay periods for difference CSI processes and reporting. In a first aspect, a general set of delay times for the M-A-CSI maybe signaled to the user equipment (UE) from which a candidate set is selected by the UE based on various CSI related settings. An indication from the base station may then be used to select the delay from the candidate set. In a second aspect, a delay period may be selected from the set of delays associated with and corresponding to the M-A-CSI.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for a channel state information (CSI) report configuration with a codebook list, for example, for non-coherent joint transmission (NCJT). A method for wireless communication that can be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving a CSI report configuration. The CSI report configuration is associated with one or more CSI reference signal (RS) resources. Each CSI-RS resource includes a set of ports or port groups. The UE receives a list of codebooks associated with the configuration. The UE determines at least one codebook, from the list of codebooks, to apply for one or more triggered CSI-RS resources.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for channel state information (CSI) reporting with time domain (TD) compression. A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving one or more CSI-RS from a base station (BS). The UE measures the one or more CSI-RS. The UE determining a mapping order for placing CSI feedback in one or more CSI reports and sends the one or more CSI reports to the BS based on the measurements, the one or more CSI reports providing TD compressed CSI feedback including at least linear combination coefficients associated with TD bases used for the TD compression.

Abstract: Some aspects of the present disclosure provide channel state information (CSI) processing criteria. A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) generally includes receiving, from a base station via a first bandwidth part (BWP), control signaling that triggers reporting at least one of a first channel state information (CSI) report associated with the first BWP or a second CSI report associated with a second BWP that is non-active, determining, based on an indication of an active downlink (DL) BWP change, at least one occupation time of one or more CSI processing units (CPUs) associated with the first CSI report or the second CSI report, and taking one or more actions based at least in part on the at least one occupation time.
