Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a communication technique for converging IoT technology with a 5G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate beyond a 4G system, and a system therefor. According to one embodiment of the present invention, provided is a method for a terminal transmitting a data packet in a wireless communication system. The method comprises the steps of: generating a data packet; determining whether to perform duplicate transmission for the data packet; and if it is determined to perform duplicate transmission for the data packet, generating at least two duplicate packets by duplicating the data packet, and transmitting the respective at least two duplicate packets to at least two base stations.

Abstract: A user equipment device obtains a first measurement using a first CSI-RS sub-resource and a second measurement using a second CSI-RS sub-resource. The user device derives a single CSI-process based on the first and the second measurements and reports the CSI-process to a base station. The user device receives a message from the base station configuring the first and second CSI-RS sub-resources corresponding to the single CSI-process to be reported by the user device. The message from the base station comprises a configuration of the first CSI-RS sub-resource and a separate configuration of the second CSI-RS sub-resource. The configuration of each CSI-RS sub-resource comprises, for the corresponding CSI-RS sub-resource, at least a CSI-RS sub-resource index, a periodicity, and an offset. The user device may alternatively obtain measurements using any number of CSI-RS sub-resources and then derive and report a single CSI-process based on the plurality of measurements.

Abstract: A feedback method and apparatus which are used to provide a feedback mechanism in a sidelink communications system, and may be applied to the internet of vehicles, for example, V2X, LTE-V, and V2V. The method includes: a first terminal device determines that a feedback condition is met, and sends feedback information to a second terminal device, where the feedback information includes at least one of channel state information and a receive response, and the receive response includes a positive acknowledgment, a negative acknowledgment, or discontinuous transmission. In this way, the feedback condition is set, so that the first terminal device sends the feedback information only when the feedback condition is met. In this way, resource overheads and information redundancy that are caused when each terminal device in a communication group sends feedback information are effectively avoided.

Abstract: Intelligent hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback can better support link adaption. Thus, in addition to the traditional HARQ feedback, which is to relay acknowledgement (ACK) and negative acknowledgement (NAK) data based on a decoding result, a new state for the HARQ feedback can be represented as “ACK+”. Consequently, ACK+ can be used to indicate to the network that a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) of a current data packet is too conservative, and the user equipment (UE) is capable of supporting a more aggressive MCS.

The CSI may be calculated by using the most recent A CSI-RS, and thereby the most recent CSI may be reported.

Abstract: According to a possible embodiment, a control channel can be received in a first downlink slot. The control channel can contain DCI with a downlink DCI format. The DCI can contain a CSI report trigger that triggers a CSI report. The DCI can schedule PDSCH transmissions repeated a number of times in a set of downlink slots. Each PDSCH transmission of the repeated PDSCH transmissions can be in a separate downlink slot. A CSI report can be generated in response to receiving the CSI report trigger. At least one uplink resource to transmit the generated CSI report can be determined. The at least one uplink resource can be determined based on the number of repeated PDSCH transmissions. The generated CSI report can be transmitted in the determined at least one uplink resource.

Abstract: Reliability, in 5G and emerging 6G, is a continuing challenge due to signal fading, heavy interference, and phase noise, among others. The disclosed procedures show how to locate the most likely faulted message elements according to a deviant modulation, excessive amplitude or phase instability, and inconsistency between successive transmissions of the message. In addition, the receiver can rectify the message either by altering the faulted message elements to other modulation states, or by selectively merging two versions of the message according to signal quality. In either case, reliability is improved, range is extended, and time is saved.
