Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a wireless communication device may receive a system information block (SIB) including configuration information associated with configuring operation of a plurality of repeaters, wherein repeaters in the plurality of repeaters are configured to receive signals from first wireless communication devices and forward the signals to second wireless communication devices. The wireless communication device may communicate in a set of resources based at least in part on the configuration information included in the SIB. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Various aspects include methods for receiver (RX) beam sweep configuration of a millimeter wave (MMW) repeater during random access channel (RACH) procedures. Various embodiments may include determining two or more different RX beam sweep configurations for one or more RACH occurrences (ROs) associated with a synchronization signal block (SSB), generating a RACH configuration message indicating the two or more different RX beam sweep configurations for the one or more ROs, and sending the RACH configuration message to an MMW repeater. Various embodiments may also include receiving a RACH configuration message indicating two or more different RX beam sweep configurations for one or more ROs associated with an SSB, and controlling one or more RX antennas of the MMW repeater to perform RX beam sweeping during the one or more ROs according to the RACH configuration message to receive a RACH message 1 from a computing device.

Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods are provided for a base station (BS) to configure initial sweeping with one or more repeaters. For example, a BS may determine a sweeping configuration based on any combination of measurement reports from the repeater and/or received information on the capabilities or category of the repeater. Capabilities can include codebook information, repeater's architecture, beam switching latency, synchronization level, and/or the like. Measurement reports may be transmitted by and/or between a repeater to a BS following an initial connection setup between a repeater and a BS. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

Abstract: An apparatus may configure a first set of resources associated with first control information for a relay device. The apparatus may configure a second set of resources associated with at least one of data or second control information for at least one UE, and the second set of resources may at least partially overlap with the first set of resources. The apparatus may transmit information indicating the first set of resources and the second set of resources to the relay device. Further, the apparatus may communicate, with the relay device, the first control information on the first set of resources and the at least one of data or second control information on the second set of resources, and the relay device may be configured to relay the at least one of data or second control information between the apparatus and the at least one UE.

For example, by adding even limited capability to buffer digital samples, repeater functionality may be enhanced to provide better coverage and make more efficient use of time, frequency, and spatial resources. An example method generally includes receiving, from a base station, a configuration indicating how the wireless device is to process stored digital samples of a first radio frequency (RF) signal, receiving the first RF signal, wherein the receiving comprises generating the digital samples of the first RF signal, storing the digital samples, and processing the stored digital samples according to the configuration.
