Abstract: A head massage apparatus for massaging the head with massager elements positioned on the inside of a cap worn on the head includes a cap with a plurality of massagers for massaging a user's head. Each massager has a motor and an engagement member eccentrically mounted to the motor which is positioned to engage the head of the user. When activated, the motor moves the engagement member in a circular path along the head of the user to massage the head.

Abstract: A neck supporting exoskeleton is configured to be worn by a person to support the person's head during backward extension motions of the person's neck. The neck supporting exoskeleton may comprise a torso frame configured to be coupled to the person's torso, a head pillow configured to contact the rear portion of the person's head during backward extension motions of the person's neck, a linkage allowing for relative motion between the head pillow and the torso frame in the sagittal plane of the person, and an actuator configured to impose a supporting force onto the head pillow. When the person's neck extension angle increases beyond an engagement angle, the actuator causes the linkage to impose a supporting force onto the head pillow resisting the backward extension motion of the head pillow and the person's head relative to the torso frame thereby providing a support for the person's head.

Abstract: The subject invention pertains to systems and methods to improve the condition of an eye and to either treat or lower the risk of diseases such as glaucoma. Systems and methods are provided for increasing compliance, improving circulation and fluid flow, or promoting tissue cell metabolism by warm compress, and/or irradiation at single or multiple wavelengths (e.g., between 780 to 950 nm or between 550 to 700 nm), and/or application of static and/or dynamic pressure to the eye. Embodiments provide a wearable head set with pressure controlled goggles, controlled irradiation sources, and temperature-controlled heat sources or pads exposed to or in contact with the eye or surrounding region to warm up the tissues of the eye and promote the vasodilation of the blood vessels at the eye as well as circulation within the blood system connected to the Schlemm's canal or other regions in or around the eye.

Abstract: A motorized cervical traction device comprises an inferior base configured to attach to a patient support (such as an operating table or gurney), a superior base spaced apart from the inferior base along a cranial/caudal direction, and a set of linear actuators extending between the inferior base and the superior base. The superior base includes an attachment point configured to enable mechanical coupling of a load sensor and a patient head attachment (e.g., Gardner-Wells device or Mayfield skull clamp) to the superior base. In use, the device provides real-time load sensing capability and can apply distraction via extension of the linear actuators to a preset load (force control) or displacement (position control). The device also includes a flexion/extension mechanism that enables rotational positioning of the linear actuators relative to the inferior base along and enables control of the flexion/extension angle of the applied traction.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses to treat subjective tinnitus is disclosed herein. A series of short, self-administered treatments with the apparatus may lessen or eliminate the subjective perception of tinnitus in the majority of individuals. The apparatus that delivers the treatment may include four bone conductors, two for each ear delivering sound to the inner ear via bone conduction. Each ear receives low frequency tones between fifty and one-hundred-and-ten hertz high frequency tones between six-thousand and ten-thousand hertz. The low frequency tones and high frequency tones may be all delivered slightly above an auditory threshold intensity. The apparatus may be self-contained, rechargeable and controllable via mobile phone application. The method of treatment may involve programmed sessions lasting one to fifteen minutes.
