    Abstract: A side airbag device includes an airbag 2 and an inflator. The airbag is formed in a bag shape by connecting peripheries of first and second main base cloths and of a vehicle inner side and a vehicle outer side. The airbag is partitioned into a front chamber and a rear chamber by a first partition wall. First inner tethers are provided in the front chamber and connect between a forward vehicle direction end of the front chamber and the first partition wall. Lengths of the first inner tethers and are shorter than a length between a first joint part connecting the first partition wall to the first inner tether and the forward vehicle direction end of the front chamber in the airbag in a front to rear vehicle direction before the airbag is deployed.

    Abstract: [Problem] To provide a passenger restraint apparatus capable of suppressing the movement of an airbag away from a passenger without requiring a complex structure.
    [Resolution Means] A passenger restraint apparatus according to the present invention is configured to include a seat of a vehicle and restrain a passenger seated in this seat, wherein this passenger restraint apparatus includes: an airbag which is stored in a seat back part of the seat, and expanded and deployed to the side of the passenger seated in this seat; and a tension fabric which passes through the side opposite the passenger of the stored airbag so as to be stored from the seat back part of the seat to the seat cushion part, wherein, when the airbag is expanded and deployed, at least a portion of the tension fabric is configured so as to be deployed to the outside of this seat by the cleaving of the skin of the seat, in addition to being stretched from the position in the vicinity of the shoulder of the passenger in the seat back to the position on the front side of the vehicle on the side of the seat cushion, and wherein this tension fabric includes a part for holding the surface of the airbag opposite the passenger.

The presence sensors are each arranged so as to detect a proximity and/or contact between a user's limb and the hoop.     Abstract: The airbag comprises an outer skin (20) having a first opening (26), a flap (32) being at least indirectly attached to the outer skin (20), and a tether (37). The first end of the tether is attached to a flap (32) and the second end (37b) of the tether is detachably attached to a holding element (16). When the airbag is deployed and the tether (37) is under tension, the flap (32) covers the first opening (26) at least partially such that the ventilation device is in a closed or throttled first state. When the airbag is deployed and the tether (37) is not under tension because the second end (37b) of the tether is detached from the holding element, the flap (32) covers the first opening (26) less than in in the first state, such that the ventilation device is in second state. The flap (32) is located between the outer skin (20) and an additional layer (34) having a second opening (36) at least partially overlapping the first opening (26).

    Abstract: Problem: To provide a side airbag device that can improve restraint performance by efficiently suppressing oscillation of an airbag cushion. Resolution Means: A side airbag device 100 is provided with: a vertically long rear chamber 116, a front chamber 118 that is inflated and deployed forward and upward from the rear chamber 116, an inflator 108 contained within a rear part of the rear chamber 116, and a cloth-like first tether 112 that is provided outside of the rear chamber 116, has a front end 122 connected to a front edge portion 124 of the rear chamber 116, and has a rear end 126 connected to the rear part of the rear chamber 116, and which is tensioned when the rear chamber 116 is inflated and deployed. The rear chamber 116 has a smaller capacity than the front chamber 118, the first tether 112 is longer in the vertical direction than in the front-back direction, and the front end 122 of the first tether 112 is connected to a range that includes at least a lower end 146 of the front edge portion 124 of the rear chamber 116.
