Abstract: A toy vehicle configured for running on rails, the toy vehicle comprises a chassis comprising a first end and a second end, two side faces extending in the longitudinal direction of the toy vehicle, a top portion, at least two axels each comprising two wheels, wherein the chassis comprises at least two flexible flanges being positioned opposite each other on both sides of the chassis on each side faces. Each flexible flange comprising a snap protrusion at the extremity of the flanges, such that the snap protrusions are adapted to slide past an outer surface of a set of rails.

Abstract: A toy construction robotics system including a robotics control unit, the robotics control unit comprising: a housing comprising coupling elements configured for releasably interconnecting the robotics control unit with cooperating toy construction elements; a processor comprising programmed instructions; a plurality of I/O-ports connected to communicate with the processor; a plurality of separate light emitters arranged in a two-dimensional array on a front side of the housing, each of the light emitters being operable in response to instructions from the processor so as to produce at least two different indicator states; wherein the light emitters are aligned with respect to the I/O-ports such that each of the I/O-ports has an associated light emitter next to it. The light emitters may be operable, in response to instructions from the processor, to produce a machine readable code encoding data in respect of the robotics control unit. The machine readable code may comprise instructions for interaction between the robotics control unit and an external device.

Abstract: System and method for automatic computer aided optical recognition of toys, for example, construction toy elements, recognition of those elements on digital images and associating the elements with existing information is presented. The method and system may recognize toy elements of various sizes invariant of toy element distance from the image acquiring device for example camera, invariant of rotation of the toy element, invariant of angle of the camera, invariant of background, invariant of illumination and without the need of predefined region where a toy element should be placed. The system and method may detect more than one toy element on the image and identify them. The system is configured to learn to recognize and detect any number of various toy elements by training a deep convolutional neural network.
