Abstract:
Some demonstrative embodiments include apparatuses, systems and/or methods of performing a range measurement. For example, a first wireless communication device may include a radio to communicate a discovery frame with a second wireless communication device, the discovery frame including at least one movement indication field to indicate a time of movement of a sender of said discovery frame; and a controller to perform a range measurement procedure with said second wireless communication device.
Abstract:
Certain embodiments herein relate to a dynamic pre-association between Neighbor Awareness Networking (NAN) discovery windows and fine timing measurement (FTM) communications. A wireless station may trigger An FTM procedure during a NAN discovery window by the transmission of a NAN Service Discovery Frame (SDF). In addition to the FTM communications, an indication of a discovery window for which a subsequent FTM communication is expected to occur is also transmitted. In some embodiments, an FTM range report may also be transmitted with the indication.
Abstract:
Embodiments of a communication station and method for time-of-flight (ToF) location determination in a wireless network are generally described herein. In some embodiments, a responding communication station receives a ToF measurement request. The responding communication station transmits an acknowledgment of the ToF measurement request. The responding communication station also transmits a response to the ToF measurement request that includes an indication of a time period for an initiating communication station to poll the responding communication station for a ToF result.
Abstract:
This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to fine timing signaling. A device may determine a first request to establish a fine timing measurement (FTM) session from a first device. The device may determine one or more FTM measurement exchanges with the first device based at least in part on the FTM session. The device may determine an FTM measuring period associated with the FTM session. The device may determine one or more wake-up packets based at least in part on the first request. The device may cause to send at least one of the one or more wake-up packets to the first device on a first channel.
Abstract:
Various embodiments are generally directed to an apparatus, method and other techniques to communicate configuration information during a neighbor aware network (NAN) discovery window to establish a fine timing measurement (FTM) procedure with one or more stations, the configuration information comprising at least one of a channel, a FTM start time, and an ordered list of the one or more stations, and perform the FTM procedure with the one or more other stations by communicating information in one or more FTM frames during a burst period.

Abstract:
Embodiments of a communication station (STA) and method for time-of-flight (ToF) positioning in a wireless network are generally described herein. In some embodiments, an initiating station may transmit a message M1 carrying a high-throughput control (HTC) field that includes a reverse direction grant (RDG) bit. The RDG indication grants permission to a responding station to send information back to the initiating station. The message M1 may be a timing measurement action frame. An ACK frame may be received from Me responding station to acknowledge receipt of the message M1. The ACK frame may optionally carry an HTC field that includes amore PPDU indication to indicate whether a PPDU (e.g., contained in message M2) is to follow the ACK frame. The message M2 may be received from the responding station and may include timing measurement information from a current and/or one or more previous ToF message exchanges.
Abstract:
Generally discussed herein are systems and apparatuses arranged to perform a Time-of-Flight (ToF) or Round Trip Time measurement. The disclosure also includes techniques of making and using the systems and apparatuses. According to an example a station (STA) can be arranged to perform a Time-of-Flight (ToF) measurement, the STA can include a transceiver arranged to transmit a hard constraint indicating a time window in which the STA is unavailable for performing the ToF measurement, and receive an action frame of the ToF measurement from another STA at a time that is outside the time window.
Abstract:
A device, method and/or system for a wireless communications device with a memory, a processor, and a group management module to receive information indicating a list of communications devices determined to be stationary or quasi-stationary relative to one another and a FTM (Fine Timing Measurement) module adapted to determine location information using the information.
