Abstract:
A sports videogame such as a baseball videogame allows a user to control the release time of a pitch in order to control the timing of a break on the pitched ball. Other implementations of a baseball videogame allow a user to put extra spin on a pitched ball to thereby create a greater break on the pitch or allow the user to play in a hero mode which enables the user to control a videogame character in a series of specific game play scenarios designed to allow the user to immediately control the videogame character to perform unique skills. Game play may also be customized by allowing the user to incorporate user-created images into screens of game play and/or allow the user to incorporate recorded audio messages into game play.
Abstract:
Links in industrial chains are connected by pins in bushings. Internal sealing rings in internal annular grooves near ends of bushings prevent inward movement of debris and outward movement of grease past the grooves. Steel internal sealing rings are expanded further into the grooves upon insertion of the pins through the bushings and the steel rings. The steel rings tightly grip the pins and rotate with the pins. Opposite ends of the bushings extend slightly from inside sidebars. Outer conical nitrile seals have collars placed on extended ends of the bushings and have large radiused ends for contacting inner surfaces of outside sidebars that hold the pins.

Abstract:
Embodiments described herein are directed to managing elements within a notification area of a graphical operating system. The elements may include any graphic, logo, or image associated with running software. A user indicates which elements can be displayed in the notification area, consequently creating a list of potentially displayable elements. For each listed element, an order of display, file location, and display status is designated. The user may freely change the order in which elements are displayed in the notification area by repositioning the displayed elements. Elements may be permanently removed from the notification area, resulting in their deletion from the list. Only elements entered into the order list, at the discretion of the user, are displayable within the notification area.
Abstract:
Methods and system for transferring images between devices is disclosed. For example, differently scaled images by a host device may automatically and/or selectively be transferred to a media player for display. In turn, appropriately scaled images may be transferred automatically and/or selectively to another display device for example a TV, camera or printer. The selectivity may occur either at the host level or at the player level.
Abstract:
A low voltage memory apparatus is disclosed. The memory apparatus can include a bit cell, a first pass gate coupled to the bit cell to receive a write signal, a second pass gate coupled to the bit cell to receive the write signal, and a bit cell isolator to isolate at least a portion of the bit cell from a power return during a write cycle. Isolating a cross coupled flip flop in the bit cell during a write cycle can provide faster write times, increased write reliability and can reduce the effects of device variations on bit cell operation, particularly for low voltage applications. Other embodiments are also disclosed.
Abstract:
An articulated foldable sandal may include a sole having a forefoot portion that is adapted to be disposed under a front portion of a wearer's foot and a rear-foot portion that is adapted to be disposed under a rear portion of the wearer's foot. The sole may also have an articulating member that may be operatively coupled to both the forefoot portion and the rear-foot portion. The articulating member may include at least two distinct axes of rotation and may be adapted to enable the sandal to be selectively moved between an open configuration suitable for wearing and a folded configuration. The sandal may also include a retaining member fastened to the sole and adapted to hold the sandal on a wearer's foot.
Abstract:
An ultra-efficient multilobal cross-sectioned fiber filter for chemical contaminant filtering applications is described. An absorptive chemically reactive reagent, preferably an acid or base and in liquid or an adsorptive chemically reactive reagent (an acid or base) in solid form, is disposed within longitudinal slots in each length of fiber. The reagent may be used alone or in conjunction with solid adsorptive particles which may also be utilized with the reagents in the longitudinal slots within the fibers. Reagents within the fibers remain exposed to a base-contaminated airstream passing through the filter. Base contaminants in the airstream, chemicals such as ammonium and amines (as well as particles), react with the acid reagent within the longitudinal slots of the fibers. As the contaminant and reagent react, the ammonium or amine becomes irreversibly absorbed (or adsorbed if reagent is a solid acid) to the liquid acid reagent and multilobal fiber.
Abstract:
An inducer comprising a conically configured hub, a plurality of blades projecting from the hub and a bridge that connects a first blade of two adjacent blades of the plurality of blades to a second blade of the plurality of blades. Each blade of the plurality of blades has a helix shape and is configured as an advancing spiral. The bridge that connects the first blade of two adjacent blades of the plurality of blades to a second blade of the plurality of blades has an airfoil configuration. The bridge is attached to the pressure side of the first blade proximate the leading edge of the first blade and to the suction side of the second blade. Alternatively, the airfoil shaped bridge may be attached to the pressure side of the first blade proximate the trailing edge of the first blade.
