Abstract: The system and method for super resolution processing at long standoff distances in real-time. The system collects a series of image frames and estimated the shift, rotation, and zoom parameters between each of the image frames. A matrix is generated and then an inversion is applied to the matrix to produce a super resolution image of an area of interest while mitigating the effect of any bad pixels on image quality. In some cases, the area of interest is user-defined and in some cases image chips are provided by tracking software. A fast steering mirror can be used to steer and/or dither the focal plane array.

Abstract: A display system includes a storage apparatus, an image forming apparatus, and a display apparatus. The display apparatus accepts editing of a virtual reality space, and the image forming apparatus generates edited display data for displaying a virtual reality space reflecting editing content, and correlates the edited display data with data identification information to cause the storage apparatus to store the edited display data. When the data identification information is inputted, the image forming apparatus acquires edited display data corresponding to the data identification information and transmits the edited display data to the display apparatus, thereby causing the display apparatus to display a virtual reality space based on the edited display data.

Abstract: A computer implemented method enables presenting interesting and informative preview video of a video content item in a digital magazine. The method comprises steps of receiving a video content item from a content provider, e.g., a 2-minute video advertisement for a car from an advertiser, and analyzing the video content item. The video content item is segmented into multiple segments based on the analysis, e.g., scene changes detected with the video frames of the video content item. One or more segments are selected, e.g., based on their associated visual quality, and are combined to generate a preview video, e.g., a 10-second long video highlighting new features of the car. One or more transition segments can be added between segments to enhance user experience with the preview video. The preview video is provided to a client device for display and auto playback.

Abstract: An approach is described for adjusting prominence of a participant profile in a social networking interface. An associated system may include a processor and a memory storing an application program, which, when executed on the processor, performs an operation that may include receiving an activity stream update of the participant and calculating a relevancy score based on content in the activity stream update. The operation further may include adjusting a visibility level of the participant profile in the social networking interface based upon the calculated relevancy score. Adjusting the visibility level may include increasing the visibility level of the participant profile upon determining that the calculated relevancy score is greater than or equal to a first predefined threshold value. Adjusting the visibility level further may include decreasing the visibility level of the participant profile upon determining that the calculated relevancy score is less than a second predefined threshold value.
