Abstract:
An air guide for a dispenser. At least one air scoop is configured to guide an air stream to a feeding out opening for chaffs on the dispenser in order to facilitate packages of chaffs to be released from the dispenser. A control unit is configured to control the air stream through the at least one air scoop.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a recoilless weapon (1) comprising a launch tube (3) for launching a projectile and a recoil dampener (2) for dampening recoil forces from the projectile, characterized in that the recoil dampener (2) comprises at least two recoil dampening mechanisms (8) comprising dampening means (11, 13, 14, 15) and that the recoil dampener (2) is adjustable in regard to a gunner and/or to projectile.
Abstract:
A system for interconnecting a mother ship with a submersible vehicle using a cable towed by the mother ship. The cable has a first cable end connected to the mother ship and a second cable end to be connected to the submersible vehicle. The second cable end is provided with a first connector. A capturing mast is arranged at the submersible vehicle for capturing the cable towed by the mother ship. A connector holder is arranged at the submersible vehicle for holding the first connector when it is to be connected to a second connector. The second connector is connected to the submersible vehicle. A first guide is arranged at the submersible vehicle for guiding the first connector towards the connector holder of the submersible vehicle. A second guide turns the connector to a well defined position into the connector holder.
Abstract:
An avionics cooling system including an avionics cooling circuit operating with a liquid coolant; a fuel circuit; and a vapor cooling cycle operating with a refrigerant. The avionics cooling circuit transfers heat withdrawn from avionics to the fuel circuit, whereby the heat is dumped into fuel, and the vapor cooling cycle transfers heat that cannot be dumped into the fuel from the fuel circuit to ram air.
Abstract:
A cartridge case intended for explosive materials. A releasable base plate is provided in a bottom section of the cartridge case. A base plate locking device includes a temperature dependent shape memory material. The shape memory material of the base plate locking device is provided to exert a crushing force on the cartridge case at a temperature increase passing a temperature such that the shape memory material in question struggles to resume a former shape in order to break up the connection between the base plate and the bottom section of the cartridge case and release the base plate from the bottom section of the cartridge case. A round of ammunition includes the cartridge case.
Abstract:
An elongate support member for use in a support structure for a screen made from flexible screen material. The support member is adapted to receive one or more elongate rolls of the screen material. The support member is a visually impenetrable beam whose sectional configuration defines an open W-shaped or M-shaped profile.
Abstract:
A method for determining the probability of a vehicle colliding with a detected object. The object is detected. A stochastic process is determined representing a relative distance between the vehicle and the detected object. The stochastic process has a direction and a velocity relative the vehicle. A safety zone of the vehicle is defined in relation to the detected object as a straight line perpendicular to a line of sight of the detected object. The probability of colliding with the detected object over a period of time is determined as the probability of the stochastic process crossing the straight line with the direction and velocity of the stochastic process.
Abstract:
A method for validating positional data in vehicle surveillance applications wherein vehicles transmit positional data indicating their own position to surrounding vehicles using a data link over which a transmission is initiated at a given transmission point in time that is known by all users of the data link. A signal transmitted from a radio source over the data link is received at a receiving unit. The signal carries positional data indicating an alleged position of a vehicle. The distance between the receiving unit and the radio source is estimated based on the time of flight and the propagation velocity of the received signal. The time of flight is determined based on the time elapsed from the transmission point in time of the signal to the time of reception of at least a first part of the signal. A deviation value is determined. The deviation value indicates the difference between the distance to the position of a vehicle according to the received positional data and the estimated distance to the radio source.
Abstract:
A launch tube protective cover for mounting to a launch tube including a projectile. The launch tube protective cover is arranged for protecting the interior of the launch tube from external environment. The launch tube protective cover includes a flexible rippable vapor barrier faced towards the projectile and circumferentially attached to the launch tube.
Abstract:
A method of forming a safe termination operation volume, and an aircraft provided with a system using such a volume to plan a flight route and/or an emergency route. The volume indicates the lowest allowable flight altitude to achieve a glide path of a vehicle to a termination point of an area of interest, wherein non allowable fly zones are taken into consideration by adding flight altitude to come around the non allowable fly zones when calculating the lowest allowable flight altitude.
