Abstract:
An axial flow filter contains: a filtration unit. The filtration unit includes at least one filtering material and plural connection materials. Each filtering material spirally rolls outward from its inner end, and said each filtering material has a small-diameter portion formed on the inner end thereof and has a large-diameter portion arranged on an outer end thereof. Between the small-diameter portion and the large-diameter portion defines a height difference, said each filtering material rolls outward to define a gap between any two adjacent filter layers, and a first connection material is fixed between said any two adjacent filter layers and is coated along a middle section of said each filtering material as said each filtering material rolls outward, such that said any two adjacent filter layers of the at least one filtering material are spaced at a fixed distance so as to stop the gap.
Abstract:
An air filter retention interface for use with an internal combustion engine is disclosed. The interface is substantially secured in an opening of a wall and the interface attaches to an air filter at the front end of the interface and an air intake tube on the back end of the interface. The interface has a filter sleeve and a filter base. During operation of the engine the filter sleeve is disposed through the opening in the wall such that the wall is between beads disposed on the external surface of the filter sleeve and the filter base thereby substantially securing the interface in place and the front end of the filter base is attached to the filter and the back end of the filter base is attached to the air intake tube and air passes through the filter then through the filter base and filter sleeve and then into the air intake tube and toward the engine.
Abstract:
An interface air filter and assembly for use with an internal combustion engine is disclosed. The assembly has a housing having an air intake port and an opening. There is an air filter assembly comprising an air filter having a closed end and an open end and a reducing coupling. The reducing coupling has a first end with a first engaging member having an external circumference and outer surface, a second end with a second engaging member having an external circumference less than the first engaging member external circumference, and the second engaging member has an inner surface. The first end of the reducing coupling is attached to the open end of the air filter. The air filter assembly is in contact with the housing such that the air filter resides within the housing and the outer surface of the first engaging member engages the housing. The inner surface of the second engaging member is adapted to contact an air intake tube outer surface so that air can pass from the air intake port into the housing then through the air filter and into the air intake tube.
Abstract:
An automobile air filtration system including an air intake housing configured to house an air filter assembly. The air filter assembly includes filter media having a first end and a second end, and a base member including a locating member having a first width coupled to the second end. The air intake housing includes at least one sidewall defining an interior chamber, an inlet opening and an outlet opening defined in the sidewall, an outlet passageway defined by a portion of the sidewall extending to the outlet opening along an outlet axis, and a slip region having a second width defined in the portion of the sidewall defining the outlet passageway. When the air filter assembly is received in the interior chamber of the air intake housing, the locating member of the air filter assembly is received in the slip region of the air intake housing.
Abstract:
A flexible air hose connection between a preconditioned air unit and an aircraft incorporates an air filter between the first and second ends to capture and filter foreign matter in the air stream through the flexible tube. The filter may be sewn, fitted with snaps, hook and loop and/or zippered into the interior of the air hose. In particular embodiments the air filter incorporates a mesh screen, or alternatively comprises a fibrous material of foam, pleated paper, or spun fiberglass. In one embodiment the filter may be a high efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filter meeting the efficiency standard set by the Department of Energy.
Abstract:
An oil mist collector contains a casing unit, a first filtering unit, a second filtering unit, and a ventilation unit. The casing unit includes an inlet, a first air chamber, a second air chamber, an air guiding orifice corresponding to the second air chamber and communicating with an exterior, and a first recycling orifice arranged on a bottom end thereof and communicating with the first air chamber. The first filtering unit is disposed in the first air chamber and corresponds to the inlet. The second filtering unit is fixed above the air guiding orifice and includes an open rear end, a first lip with a noncircular cross section, a second lip, and a first filtration assembly defined between the first lip and the second lip. The ventilation unit includes a motor and a rotary fan rotatably connected with the motor and secured in the second air chamber.
Abstract:
A pleated filter media comprises a plurality of pleats comprised of pleat segments extending in an axial direction between first and second axial ends and extending in a transverse direction that is perpendicular to the axial direction between first and second sets of pleat tips at least partially defined by first and second sets of bend lines. Axial flow channels are defined between the pleat segments in the lateral direction and the plurality of pleats has a width in the transverse direction that varies along the axial direction.
Abstract:
An oil mist filter is fixed on an air intake of an oil mist collector and contains: a top cover, a bottom cover, and a conical filtering assembly. The top cover includes a collection portion formed on a central position thereof and a plurality of guiding portions radially extending outward from the collection portion. The bottom cover is hollow and includes a through orifice defined on a central position thereof, and an outer diameter of the bottom cover is greater than the top cover. The filtering assembly is disposed between the top cover and the bottom cover. Thereby, oily substances from the top cover are guided by the plurality of guiding portions to flow through and to be filtered by the filtering assembly, and then the oily substances are guided out of the through orifice of the bottom cover.
