The present invention has for its object to provide a curable composition which, despite its low viscosity, gives a cured product with a high gel fraction, low residual tack, low modulus, high elongation, and good flexibility.The present invention relates to a curable composition comprising the following two components: (A) a vinyl polymer having at least one crosslinking silyl group on the average per molecule: and (B) a photocurable substance, (C) an air oxidation-curable substance, (D) a high molecular plasticizer, (E) a reactive plasticizer or (F) a compound having one silanol group in its molecule and/or a compound capable of reacting with moisture to give a compound having one silanol group in the molecule.

The present invention relates to a latex composition containing polymer particles that are polymerized in at least two stages including a first phase polymer having a relatively high molecular weight and a relatively high glass transition temperature, and a second phase polymer having a relatively low molecular weight, a relatively high glass transition temperature, and polymerized from constituent monomers that include a crosslinkable monomer. Paint compositions and architectural coatings containing the latex composition according to the invention are also described herein, as well as substrates coated therewith.

Siloxane-containing materials that have been prepared by a sol-gel method and polymeric binder materials from interpenetrating networks. Silicon-containing layers including such interpenetrating networks are provided. Methods for preparing interpenetrating networks and silicon-containing layers including interpenetrating networks are also provided. In addition, photoreceptors and image-forming apparatus including such silicon-containing layers are provided.

The present invention discloses a gloss paint, the gloss paint includes: a fluoro acryl-silicon resin in an amount by weight from 20% to 60%, pigment particles in an amount by weight from 5% to 40%, an additive in an amount by weight of less than 5%, the remainder being a solvent. The present invention also discloses a method for using the gloss paint to form a gloss paint layer on a surface of an article. In use, the gloss paint of the present invention can obtain a high gloss finish without a top coat. Thus the present gloss paint simplifies the steps and equipments of using the same, and economizes on the cost of the procedure.

Polycarbonate resin articles, when covered with an undercoat of the primer composition and an overcoat of an organopolysiloxane composition, exhibit improved transparency, mar resistance, weather resistance, and chemical resistance and find outdoor use as vehicle and building windows and windshields.
