The lubricating oil composition is applicable to such refrigerators that use a refrigerant having a specific structure, such as an unsaturated fluorinated hydrocarbon compound, and being usable in current car air conditioner systems, and has excellent compatibility with the refrigerant, good sealing properties, capability of imparting a low coefficient of friction to sliding members and, yet, excellent stability. The compressor uses the lubricating composition.
Abstract:
An object of the present invention is to provide a plain bearing which can be further improved in bearing capability, in particular, anti-seizure property, initial conformability and cavitation resistance. In the present invention, a sliding layer 2 is formed on the surface of a bearing alloy layer 1 formed of a copper-based or aluminum-based alloy, and the sliding layer 2 comprises a resin binder obtained by applying a strong shearing force to a composition comprising a polybenzimidazole resin as main constituent and at least one member selected from the group consisting of a polyamide-imide resin, a polyamide resin and an epoxy resin, to make the composition into a polymer alloy, and 25 to 75 mass % of a solid lubricant. Owing to such a constitution, toughness and strength are imparted to the sliding layer 2 and the anti-seizure property, initial conformability and cavitation resistance can also be improved.
Abstract:
The present invention concerns a high-temperature lubricant for the hot shaping of high-grade and carbon steels, which has a content of graphite, organic blowing agent and inorganic separation agent, and the use thereof. In order to provide a high-temperature lubricant which can be used for a wide range of steel qualities for different wall thicknesses to be rolled and stretching effects and which is moreover stable in respect of temperature, provides constant rolling results upon a change in the wall thickness and/or the quality of steel and does not lead to unwanted cementation of the rolled material, the high-temperature lubricant according to the invention contains at least the following constituents in percent by weight with respect to the solids content: (a) 40 to 90% by weight graphite, (b) 2 to 50% by weight organic blowing agent, and (c) 5 to 50% by weight inorganic separation agent, wherein the organic blowing agent (b) is selected from the group consisting of melamine, melam, melem, melon, phosphate salts and polyphosphate salts of the aforesaid compounds with phosphate chain lengths in the region of n=1 to 1000, reaction products and adducts of the aforesaid compounds with cyanuric acid or isocyanuric acid, and mixtures of the aforesaid, and the inorganic separation agent (c) is a sheet silicate or a mixture of sheet silicates.
Abstract:
A method of making a thermal spray powder is provided. The method comprises: providing a powder comprising a plurality of porous particles; infiltrating a mixture comprising a solvent and a plurality of solid lubricant particles into the porous particles; and heating the powder to a temperature sufficient to evaporate the solvent. The method of forming a wear-resistant coating is provided. The method comprises: providing a thermal spray powder; heating the thermal spray powder; and accelerating the thermal spray powder from a thermal spray gun onto the substrate, to form a deposit. Yet another embodiment provides a wear resistant coating. The wear resistant coating is formed by thermally spraying the thermal spray powder.
Abstract:
A process is disclosed for manufacturing a lubricant composition comprising combining a superabsorbent polymer with a material for decreasing friction between moving surfaces. The superabsorbent polymer absorbs from about 25 to greater than 100 times its weight in water and may comprise a polymer of acrylic acid, an acrylic ester, acrylonitrile or acrylamide, including co-polymers thereof or starch graft co-polymers thereof or mixtures thereof. A product produced by the process includes the material for decreasing friction comprising a petroleum lubricant containing an additive, water containing an additive, synthetic lubricant, grease, solid lubricant or metal working lubricant, wherein the synthetic lubricant, grease, solid lubricant or metal working lubricant optionally contain an additive. A process comprising controlling the delivery of a lubricant to at least one of two moving surfaces in order to decrease friction between said moving surfaces, is also disclosed. This process includes applying the lubricant composition to at least one of the surfaces. The lubricant composition in this instance comprises a superabsorbent polymer combined with a material for decreasing friction between moving surfaces, wherein the material for decreasing friction comprises a petroleum lubricant, water, synthetic lubricant, grease, solid lubricant or metal working lubricant, and optionally an additive.
