Abstract: A lubrication mechanism of a strain wave gearing is disposed in an interior space of an externally toothed gear and comprises a powder-accommodating bag that stores solid lubricant powder. A diaphragm of the externally toothed gear is repeatedly deflected during the driving of the strain wave gearing. Vibration or deflection is repeatedly imparted to the powder-accommodating bag and the solid lubricant powder is discharged from a powder discharge hole formed in the powder-accommodating bag into the interior space. A site to be lubricated is lubricated with the solid lubricant powder discharged into the interior space. Harmful effects due to a large amount of the solid lubricant powder being supplied to the site to be lubricated at one time can be resolved, and a necessary amount of the solid lubricant powder can be continuously supplied to the site to be lubricated.

Abstract: To provide a sliding member comprising a coating film exhibiting constant and stable chipping resistance and wear resistance and excellent in peeling resistance (adhesion), and the coating film thereof. The above-described problem is solved by a sliding member (10) comprising a coating film (1) on a sliding surface (16) on a base material (11). The coating film (1) has, when a cross section thereof is observed by a bright-field TEM image, a total thickness within a range of 1 μm to 50 μm, in repeating units including black hard carbon layers (B), relatively shown in black, and white hard carbon layers (W), relatively shown in white, and laminated in a thickness direction (Y). In the black hard carbon layer (B) and the white hard carbon layer (W) adjacent to each other, the white hard carbon layer (W) has higher hardness and a larger [sp2/(sp2+sp3)] ratio than the black hard carbon layer (B).

Abstract: A carbon fiber surface oiling agent changing method includes providing a raw material step; performing a desizing step; performing a plasma surface treatment step; and performing a sizing step. In the plasma surface treatment step, the impurities that originally adhere to the surface of the carbon fiber can be broken to form small molecules and blown away through the physical and chemical reaction of the plasma gas flow, enabling the surface of the carbon fiber to be roughened and provided with functional groups, which is beneficial to achieve high-quality interface bonding of the carbon fiber and the matrix resin in the subsequent sizing step, thereby enhancing the characteristics of carbon fiber composite materials.

Abstract: Provided are a coating film, a manufacturing method for the same, and a PVD device that not only sufficiently improve the balance of low-friction properties and wear resistance, but also improve chipping resistance and peeling resistance. This film is coated on a substrate surface, wherein the coating film has a hard carbon that presents relatively black and white when observed in a cross-sectional bright-field TEM image, a mesh-shaped hard carbon layer is formed using a PVD method, said layer having white-colored hard carbon in a mesh shape extending in the thickness direction and black-colored hard carbon dispersed into the cavities in the mesh, and the ID/IG ratio is 1-6 when the mesh-shaped hard carbon layer is measured using Raman spectroscopy, said ratio being the ratio of the Raman spectrum D band peak area intensity and G band peak area intensity.

Abstract: A tubular threaded joint is constituted by a pin and a box each having a contact surface comprising an unthreaded metal contact portion including a seal portion and a shoulder portion and a threaded portion. Of the contact surface of at least one of the pin and the box, the surfaces of the seal portion and the shoulder portion has a first lubricating coating in the form of a solid lubricating coating, and the surface of the threaded portion or the entire surface of the contact surface has a second lubricating coating selected from a viscous liquid lubricating coating and a solid lubricating coating. The first lubricating coating has a coefficient of friction which is higher than that of the second lubricating coating, and the second lubricating coating is positioned on top in a portion where both the first lubricating coating and the second lubricating coating are present.

Abstract: In relation to the NAO friction material free of copper component, this invention is to provide the friction material that prevents the occurrence of metal catch while securing sufficient wear resistance. In the friction material manufactured by forming the NAO friction material composition which is free of copper component, the above-described friction material composition does not contain metal simple substance or alloy and contains, as the lubricant, metal sulfide having 600 centigrade or higher decomposition temperature to be decomposed into metal and sulfur, 2.0-5.0 weight % of graphite and a zirconium silicate as an abrasive material. Here, the metal sulfide is not a molybdenum disulfide or a tungsten disulfide. Especially, the content of the metal sulfide is preferably 0.5-2.0 weight % relative to the total amount of the friction material composition.
