The invention pertains to a hanger for guiding an element suspended from a rail so that the element can be moved back and forth. To create a hanger which forms a compact and visually attractive unit and which occupies the least possible amount of space without sacrificing the ability to serve various applications and to perform different functions, the hanger has an essentially flat, elongated shape with a middle section between two opposite end area, where the end areas are rounded.

A door track and roller system for a mounting a sliding door in a frame that includes, as a lower track for mounting along a lower surface of a sliding door frame, at least one section of a straight channel that has top edges of parallel side walls that are inturned at right angles to form aligned flat flanges that are open therebetween to accommodate a carriage of the sliding door traveling therebetween, and which flanges include at least one transverse slot formed therein of a length to pass a roller and axle of a carriage of a roller assembly of the sliding door therethrough. Each roller assembly carriage to preferably include a roller journaled onto an axle fitted through the carriage, with a lower edge or side of a section of the glass, or the like, maintained between upper sides of the carriage as a casing. The roller axle is arranged to fit through the channel flanges transverse slot, but will engage the undersurfaces of the flanges, to block travel of the roller out from between the channel flanges, should an attempt be made to lift the sliding door out of the lower track.

An apparatus for supporting one or more theatrical panels and, in a more specific aspect, a carriage assembly adapted for such task in association with a horizontal track having an upper guide surface and a lower guide surface, provide horizontal movement quietly, smoothly, with low frictional resistance and in a highly-linear fashion with low rock and sway. A horizontal track comprising an upper guide surface and a lower guide surface supports a carriage assembly having a plurality of upper guide wheels and a plurality of lower guide wheels. The upper guide wheels are supported in rolling contact with the upper guide surface and the lower guide wheels are supported in rolling contact with the lower guide surface. The axles supporting the upper guide wheels are preferably horizontally offset from vertical lines extending through any of the axles supporting the lower guide wheels. The guide wheels are preferably resilient at least at the surface and grooved to engage the guide surfaces.

A door system includes a sill having a ledge extending across the bottom of an opening to a bathing enclosure and having a raised lip along an exterior side of the ledge. A pair of parallel tracks are above the opening with a first door suspended from and slidable along the first track freely above the ledge. A second door and a third door are suspended from and slidable along the second track being freely suspended above the ledge. A pair of door retainers are attached to the first door and engage the other doors to prevent the doors from swinging into each other. A stop member is attached to the sill on an interior side of the ledge to retain three doors above the ledge between the stop member and the raised lip.

A rigid corner connector for a door having a frame with stiles and rails seating a panel therein, includes a bracket having a generally planar body portion with perpendicular sidewalls defining a channel and having inwardly extending lips along an intermediate portion. An end wall extends between the sidewalls at one end thereof, and an end flange at the other end extending in the opposite direction and having tabs engaging the rail thereon. The sidewalls also have outwardly extending side flanges adjacent their ends, and the side flanges adjacent the end flange have a tab engageable in the end of the stile. The other side flange has a tab engageable in a slot in the wall of the stile. A roller mounting member is slidably seated in the bracket for sliding movement on the bracket and it transfers loads to the end wall. A roller is rotatably mounted on the mounting member, and a detent tab seated in a channel in the roller mounting member limits the movement of the mounting member on the bracket.

A bottom door slide includes a bracket having mounting portions for mounting on a door and providing a channel opening at the lower end of the bracket. Slidably seated in the channel of the bracket is a slide guide having a guide portion extending below the bracket and having a lower end adapted to extend within an upwardly opening channel of an associated floor track. The guide portion provides a mounting recess spaced upwardly from the lower end in which is seated a slide block having an arcuate upper surface abutting the upper surface of the mounting recess and a lower surface adapted to ride on the upper end of the floor track. The slide block is slidable on the upper surface of the recess to align itself on the upper end of the floor track.

Two mutually adjoining profile pieces (1a) of equal cross-section are connected by means of a coupling piece (16) which overlaps both of them and is situated in a coupling groove (15). The convexly arched floor of the latter is formed by the underside of a crossbar (5), the top side of which forms a running surface (6) for bearing rollers of running mechanisms. In the downward direction, the coupling groove (15) is limited by lateral holding strips (18a,b) exhibiting flat, inwardly inclined holding surfaces (19a,b), which point towards the floor of the said coupling groove and against which are pressed corresponding contact strips (20a,b) of the coupling piece (16), which coupling piece is braced against the holding strips (18a,b) of each of the profile pieces (1a), by means of, in each case, two tapping screws (17b) pressing against the floor of the coupling groove (15). At the bottom, the coupling groove (15) is adjoined by a guide groove (9) for receiving guide rollers. For the purpose of enabling a particularly stable connection of the profile pieces--for example in the case of a rail supported only punctually by means of sliding blocks, which are disposed in a fastening groove and in which threaded bolts engage--the profile pieces can be provided with two coupling grooves disposed at a distance apart one above the other.

A monolithic bathtub structure incorporates vertical support columns that in one aspect are integral with the bathtub and which can be secured directly to the stud framing of the cubicle in which the bathtub is installed. The bathtub structure includes a suspension beam incorporating a locking mechanism to prevent inadvertent release of the access panels from the assembly, yet the locking mechanism may be adjusted to permit removal of the access panels. In other aspects of the invention, the suspension beam, including the panel locking mechanism, and the support columns may be independently manufactured as component parts to be assembled by the purchaser to form a bathtub enclosure. The monolithic bathtub structure is capable of formation from an appropriate synthetic resinous material, as are the support columns.

Apparatus for mounting a sliding door for horizontal movement in a frame which has an upwardly-extending upper track and an upwardly-extending lower track which comprises a horizontally-elongated rib defining a generally vertically-oriented plane. The apparatus includes a sliding door panel which includes upper and lower generally horizontal rail members. Means are provided to mount the sliding door panel to the upper track for horizontal movement along the track. The apparatus also includes an extruded elongated element suspended from the lower generally-horizontal rail member of the sliding door panel. The elongated element is disposed for free reciprocating vertical movement relative to the lower generally-horizontal rail member. The elongated element is provided with a length substantially the full length of the sliding door panel. The element is also provided with a slot which is formed in a bottom surface of the element. The slot extends substantially the full length of the bottom surface of the elongated element, the slot receiving the horizontally-elongated rib defined by the lower track therein.

A sliding door assembly comprising a door hanger, a hanger sheave, an upthrust roller and a track, wherein the hanger sheave assembly and the uptrust roller are rotatably mounted on the door hanger. The track provides a first rolling surface for the hanger sheave and a second rolling surface for the upthrust roller. The track also preferably captures the upthrust roller thereby preventing the assembly from leaving the track.
