Abstract:
An access control system for a passageway having a passageway barrier including an active infrared sensor device and a locking mechanism for selectively locking and unlocking the passageway barrier. The active infrared sensor device includes an infrared emitter, an infrared receiver having one or more position-sensing photodetectors operative for receiving infrared light and generating a signal corresponding to a position and/or intensity of the reflected infrared light, and a processing unit operative for detecting a change between a first signal generated by one or more position-sensing photodetectors after receiving reflected infrared light at a first location on one or more position-sensing photodetectors and a second signal generated by one or more position-sensing photodetectors after receiving infrared light reflected in response to the object moving into the surveillance area and for controlling an operation of a locking mechanism based on the change.
Abstract:
In a four-seat coupe, it is inconvenient for a rear-seat occupant to get in/out of the vehicle while a front-seat occupant is seated. In the present invention, the length of each door of the four-seat coupe is set, so that the rear-seat occupant can get off/on the vehicle while the front-seat occupant is seated. The door is provided with detachable first opening/closing means at its front and rear end portions. The first opening/closing means at the front end portion of the door is adapted to be released when the front-seat occupant gets off/on the vehicle to allow the first opening/closing means at the rear end portion of the door to support the door so that opening/closing motion can be performed. Also, the first opening/closing means at the rear end portion of the door is adapted to be released when the rear-seat occupant gets off/on the vehicle to allow the first opening/closing means at the front end portion of the door to support the door so that opening/closing motion can be performed.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a refrigerator capable of adjusting a step difference of a refrigerator door. The refrigerator includes a body, a door opening/closing the body, a hinge member having a hinge shaft to be coupled with the door, a mounting member fixed to the body to receive the hinge member, and an adjusting unit coupled with the hinge member to adjust a step difference of the door by moving the hinge member.
Abstract:
A device for opening and/or closing a pivoting body piece (14), especially a rear hatch, of a motor vehicle (10). The device has an electric motor drive (20) which drives a motor shaft which drives the pivotable body piece (14) via a gearing (22). In order to enable the device to have a clutch-free structure, the electric motor drive (20) is provided, in accordance with the invention, with an electronic isolation means (24) which can be activated depending on a signal from a sensor means (30) which recognizes manual actuation of the pivoting body piece (14).
Abstract:
A door control system and method for a vehicle door includes a power assist mechanism. The system starts a power assistance for opening of the vehicle door from a fully closed position when the vehicle door is moved by an operation of a door handle under a condition that a door lock being disengaged in association with the operation of the door handle. The power assistance force is supplied to the vehicle door by actuating the power assist mechanism when the vehicle door is judged to be not moving even after a preset time period lapsed from a counting of a time started from the operation of the door handle.
Abstract:
A vehicle door apparatus includes a drive mechanism and a closure mechanism including a striker and a latch. The striker is positioned within a region where the striker is engageable with the latch when the drive mechanism drives the door in a closing direction. The latch is driven to engage with the striker and shifted to a final locked position by the closure mechanism. The vehicle door apparatus also includes a control mechanism for controlling operations of the drive mechanism and the closure mechanism, a detection mechanism for detecting the striker to be positioned within the region where the striker is engageable with the latch, and a drive force decreasing mechanism provided in the control mechanism for decreasing an output of the drive mechanism after the detecting mechanism detects that the strikes is positioned within the region where the striker is engageable with the latch.
Abstract:
The clutch includes a drive disk, a follower disk and a brake disk. When current flows, the follower disk is connected with the drive disk to transmit a power from a driving unit to a door-opening/closing mechanism. When no current flows, the follower disk is separated from the drive disk to cut off the power transmission from the driving unit to the door-opening/closing mechanism. In a state that the drive disk and the follower disk are separated from each other, the brake disk is connected to the follower disk to brake the door-opening/closing mechanism in the opening direction of the door, and to allow the door-opening/closing mechanism to move in the closing direction of the door.
Abstract:
A rear gate opening and closing apparatus includes a gas stay for biasing a rear gate in an opening direction, a motor for actuating to open or close the rear gate, a clutch for connecting or disconnecting the motor with the rear gate, an encoder for detecting the position of the rear gate, an operating switch for operating an opening and closing motion of the rear gate, and a control means for controlling the motor and clutch to automatically open and close the rear gate. The opening and closing speed of the rear gate is controlled based on a detection signal of the encoder.
Abstract:
An apparatus for controlling the closing motion of a vehicular sliding door has a track extending in a longitudinal direction of a motor vehicle body, a sliding door panel movable in opening and closing directions along the track by an actuator unit, an operating unit mounted on an inner lower side of the sliding door panel and operable in response to movement of a handle on the sliding door panel, and a drive signal generator mounted on the track at an open position of the sliding door panel, for generating a drive signal to energize the actuator unit to move the sliding door panel in a closing direction when the operating unit operates.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a hinge lock consisting of a first hinge part for fastening to the outside of a door and a second hinge part for fastening on the outside of a door frame, wherein the first hinge part has an actuating device, by means of which the first and the second hinge part can be unlocked and locked with one another. The actuating device interacts with a shaft, which is suitable for passing through the door. An inner handle is arranged at the end of the shaft facing away from the actuating device, by means of which the first and the second hinge part can be unlocked and locked with one another. The shaft is surrounded by at least one pipe part.
