Abstract:
A quick-release coupling for fluid lines is disclosed which includes a connector with a connecting piece and at least one connecting pipe transversely projecting from the connecting piece, which connecting piece can be inserted into a receiving opening of a counterpart in a sealing manner and brought into locking engagement with the counterpart. To improve reliability and ease of mounting of a quick-release coupling, a force used to convert a securing device from an unlocking position to a locking position can be larger than a force used to bring the connecting piece into locking engagement with the counterpart.
Abstract:
A fluid connector assembly 10 for a fuel pipe of a motor vehicle comprises a plug 12 and a housing 11. The housing 11 has an end opening 23 and the plug 12 has a free end 26 for insertion through the end opening 23. The housing 11 also includes a seal housing portion 16 for receiving the free end 26 of the plug 12 and a coupling portion 17. The plug 12 includes first and second annular ribs 27, 28 spaced apart from each other and offset from the free end 26. The annular ribs 27, 28 are arranged to successively be held by a pair of grips 24 located inside the coupling portion when the plug 12 is inserted into the housing 11 in such a way that when the first annular rib 27 is retained by the grips 24 the plug 12 is sealed by seal means 18 in the seal housing portion 16 and when the second annular rib 28 is retained by the grips 24 the first annular rib 27 is housed between the coupling portion 17 and the seal housing portion 16.
Abstract:
A quick connector can surely prevent incomplete connection of a tube thereto and is provided with a retainer which can be easily returned to its releasing position without being subject to restrictive conditions including working space when the tube connected to the quick connector needs to be removed from the quick connector.A retainer 16 is provided with arms 31a and 31b extending so as to be in contact with diametrically opposite parts, respectively, of the outer surface of a housing 12. Locking hooks 34a and 34b are formed on free end parts of the arms 31a and 31b, respectively. First stoppers 35a and 35b are formed on the outer surface of the housing 12 so as to engage with the locking hooks 34a and 34b of the retainer 16 such that the retainer 16 can be moved from the releasing position only in a direction in which the retainer 16 is pressed into the housing 12.

Abstract:
An insert coupling more preferably intended for use with fuel lines consists of a sleeve-like coupling body (2) and a tubular insert part (1) carrying a retaining rib (3) on the outside. Via a coupling element (22) axially fixed in the coupling body (2) on to which engagement hooks (4, 4′) are molded which are intended for engagement with the retaining rib (3), a ring shoulder (23) is formed at the same time which together with a ring shoulder (24) of the housing (8) of the coupling body (2) axially spaced from said ring shoulder and the radially spaced cylindrical faces of the housing (8) facing each other and the insert part (1) define a ring space (11) in which a sealing arrangement consisting of two sealing rings (5, 7) and a support ring (6) arranged in-between are accommodated. As a result of the unambiguous axial fixing of the sealing arrangement in the housing (8) the function of the sealing arrangement is not impaired through the removal of the insert part (1) from the coupling body (2) and through inserting said insert part in the coupling body (2). A simple construction of the insert coupling is obtained in that said coupling factually consists only of three substantial components plus the sealing arrangement and can be employed with insert parts (1) which are smooth-walled except for a retaining rib (3).
Abstract:
This invention relates to a tube coupling system (1) for a pressurised fluid system comprising a coupling body (3) for receiving a tube (5) of a pressurised fluid system, a leakage sealing means (7) for preventing fluid supplied from the pressurised fluid system via the tube to enter the coupling body (3), a gripping means (9) for gripping the outer surface of the tube (5) received in the coupling body (3), and an environment sealing means (11) for preventing intrusion from outside of the coupling body (3), characterised in that said environment sealing means (11) is at least partially displaceable and arranged to be pressed at least partially off a sealing seat when there is internal fluid pressure in the coupling body (3) resulting in a fluid stream out of the coupling body (3) and said fluid stream to the outside of the coupling body (3) indicates a leakage from the pressurised fluid system.
Abstract:
A quick connector including a female part with a stepped bore arranged to receive an endpiece and a collar of a male part, and a latch including a ring in a housing arranged in the female part to slide radially between an eccentric position and a position coaxial with the bore, and the latch including a latching indicator mounted to slide radially in the ring between two indication positions, and at least one blocking member for blocking the indicator in a first indication position, the blocking member being movable between an indicator-blocking position and a retracted release position, and having a contact portion projecting into the female portion beyond the latch to co-operate with the collar in such a manner that the collar takes the blocking member into its release position when the male part is inserted into the female part.
Abstract:
A shunt system quick connector assembly to quickly connect and disconnect a catheter to a hydrocephalus shunt system comprising a valve in a valve housing. The catheter is affixed to the quick connector assembly. The quick connector assembly snaps over an external barb on the valve housing of the shunt system with an audible sound, so that the surgeon knows that connection has been made. The connector assembly can be operated quickly, minimizing the time for the surgical procedure and the opportunity for infection. The connector assembly has smooth surfaces to minimize the growing of tissue into the connection.
Abstract:
Coupling device is provided having a male tubular end fitting; a connection means to be mounted around the male end fitting by being coupled to a female end fitting and comprising a coupling end to be housed in a groove of the female end fitting; and a locking member for locking this connection means that is to be mounted around the male end fitting in order reversibly to bring said coupling end into a locked position in said groove. The connection means comprises a radially internal bearing zone to be mounted against the male end fitting and ending in said coupling end, which comprises tabs that are elastically deformable in the radial direction extending the bearing zone, each tab being able to be jammed in the locking position by flexing against the groove and against one of the guide and locking-aid ramps of the male end fitting.
Abstract:
In a quick connection device for piping installed with a checker 40, a connector housing 20 of a quick connector 10 is formed with opening portions 74 for inserting resilient legs 58 therein through the opening portions 74 in a direction perpendicular to an axis from leading ends of the resilient legs, and inserted portions of the resilient legs 58 are held inside the connector housing 20. And, the resilient legs 58 are resiliently deformed in an axially inward direction by an annular projecting portion on an outer peripheral surface of a mating pipe at insertion of the mating pipe, to unlatch latching pawls 64 of the resilient legs 58 from corresponding latch portions of the connector housing 20, whereby the checker 40 is allowed to be removed out of the connector housing 20.
