Abstract: A fuel cell system has an oxidant supplying device configured to supply oxidant gas to a fuel cell, a fuel supplying device configured to supply fuel gas to the fuel cell and a combustor configured to burn fuel off-gas and oxidant off-gas discharged from the fuel cell and discharge thereof. The a control method for the fuel cell system includes a power generation control step of supplying the fuel gas and the oxidant gas to the fuel cell and causing the fuel cell to generate power. Abstract: A regenerative fuel cell produces hydrogen that is stored in a reservoir on the storage side of a membrane electrode assembly when operating in a hydrogen pumping mode and this stored hydrogen is reacted and moved back through the membrane electrode assembly to form water when operating in a fuel cell mode. A metal hydride forming alloy may be configured in the hydrogen storage reservoir and may be coupled to the membrane electrode assembly. An integral metal hydride electrode having a metal hydride forming alloy may be configured on the storage side of the membrane electrode assembly and may have a catalyst or an ion conductive media incorporated therewith.

Abstract: Provided is a vehicle with a fuel cell unit, specifically, a vehicle with a configuration in which a fuel cell unit is arranged anterior to a dashboard as well as a toe board located below the dashboard, where the fuel cell unit is arranged to be prevented from colliding with the toe board upon occurrence of unforeseen impact on the fuel cell unit. The fuel cell unit includes at least a fuel cell group, a stack manifold provided on the fuel cell group on the vehicle rear side, and an air valve device fixed to the stack manifold. The stack manifold has a recess portion formed in a part thereof. The air valve device is fixed to the stack manifold with at least a part of the air valve device received within the recess portion.

Abstract: An ejector has an interior nozzle, an exterior nozzle, a suction part, a mixing part and a diffuser part. The interior nozzle and the exterior nozzle are arranged coaxially with each other. A driving fluid is supplied to the interior nozzle and/or the exterior nozzle. The suction part is arranged on an outer periphery of the exterior nozzle and sucks a suction fluid by a driving fluid jet ejected from the interior nozzle and/or the exterior nozzle. A mixing part mixes the driving fluid jet with the suction fluid, and supplies a mixture fluid. The diffuser part reduces a flow speed of the mixture fluid and ejects the mixture fluid outside. An outlet part of the interior nozzle is arranged at an upstream side of the ejector more than an outlet part of the exterior nozzle along the axial direction of the ejector.

Abstract: A fuel cell system for a vehicle for preventing intrusion of water in a relief valve without providing a casing or a waterproof sheet for the relief valve is provided. The fuel cell system comprises a fuel cell stack placed in a front room of a vehicle, a power control unit to perform output control of the fuel cell stack, a hydrogen supply path for supplying hydrogen gas to the fuel cell stack, and the relief valve provided in half way of the hydrogen supply path. The relief valve is placed above the fuel cell stack in the front room and includes an exhaust port. The exhaust port is placed facing an upper surface of a casing of the power control unit with a clearance such that the hydrogen gas is ejected downward through the exhaust port in the direction of gravity.

Abstract: A vehicle including: a tank configured to be filled with fuel gas; a receptacle configured to be connected to a nozzle included in a fuel gas filling apparatus; a filling passage configured to provide communication between the receptacle and the tank; a heating unit configured to heat the receptacle; a determination unit configured to determine whether or not a parameter value, correlated with a filling speed of the fuel gas filled into the tank from the fuel gas filling apparatus, indicates decrease in the filling speed during filling of the fuel gas into the tank; and a control unit configured to, when the determination unit determines that the parameter value indicates decrease in the filling speed during filling of the fuel gas into the tank, to cause the heating unit to start heating of the receptacle during filling of the fuel gas into the tank.
