Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a method for sensing a connection port and a connection port sensing apparatus thereof. The method includes the steps of: providing a sensing device nearing a connection port; providing a lighting device nearing the connection port; lighting the lighting device when the sensing device detects that an object is nearing the connection port, concurrently, displaying a message through the operating system to notify the user of the corresponding information about the connection port.
Abstract:
A retention latch mechanism having corresponding retention features and stress reducing members is provided herein. In an exemplary embodiment, the retention latch mechanism comprises a pair of spring arm retention features of a receptacle engageable with a corresponding pair of recessed retention features of an insertable tab and one or more backup spring members for reducing stress within the spring arms during insertion of the tab into the receptacle. The backup spring may be positioned adjacent an outward facing surface such that outward lateral deflection of the spring arms deflects the backup spring thereby reducing force within the spring arm. The backup spring may include any or all of a bent portion of an associated bracket or arm member, a wire, a loop, a complementary spring arm, dual backup springs, elastomeric members and self-lubricating members. Methods of providing retention of a tab within a receptacle are also provided herein.
Abstract:
A connector is disclosed. The connector includes a first connection component and a second connection component. The first connection component includes two groups of contact pins and the second connection component includes two groups of corresponding pins. The two groups of contact pins are arranged in an opposite order and the two groups of corresponding pins are also arranged in an opposite order.
Abstract:
An electronic apparatus includes: a display portion including a display screen; a main body portion including upper and bottom surfaces; and a coupling portion to couple the display portion with the main body portion such that the display portion becomes rotatable between a first state where the display screen faces the upper surface and a second state where the display screen forms a predetermined angle with respect to the upper surface, the main body portion including a pair of side surfaces, and a first connector connectable with a first external connector and includes a lower surface exposed from the bottom surface, the display portion including a first leg portion that protrudes to be positioned lower than the bottom surface in the second state and comes into contact with a surface on which the main body portion is placed to form a predetermined tilt with respect to the surface.
Abstract:
An improved retention mechanism having corresponding retention features is provided herein. The mechanism may include a pair of spring arm retention features in a connector receptacle engageable with a corresponding pair of recessed retention features in a connector tab and backup spring members for reducing stress within the spring arms during insertion of the tab and/or lubricating members for lubricating the retention mechanism. The backup spring is positioned adjacent an outer-facing surface or extends laterally outward from the spring arms so that deflection of the spring arms displaces the backup spring reducing stresses within each arm and/or increasing the retention force on the. The backup spring may include any or all of a bent portion of an bracket or arm, a wire, a loop, a complementary spring arm, dual backup springs, elastomeric members, compression springs and lubricating members. Methods of use and assembly such retention mechanisms are also provided.
Abstract:
An electronic component device for electrically and mechanically connecting to a lead wire includes a base and a cover. The base includes a receiving body, at least one electronic component, and two spaced stripping connectors. The receiving body defining an installation groove. The at least one electronic component and the stripping connectors are received in the receiving body. Each stripping connector is in electrically connected with the at least one electronic component. The stripping connector defines a stripping slot for extension of the core therethrough, which has a size smaller than or equal to the diameter of the core. The cover includes a pressing surface and an electrically insulating cutting body. The cutting body is used for cutting off the lead wire. The pressing surface is configured for pressing the lead wire into the stripping slot, thus making the core in electrical connection with the at least one electronic component.
Abstract:
An electrical connector includes an insulative housing defining a receiving cavity thereof, a tongue member retained to the receiving cavity, and a shell surrounding the housing. The tongue member includes first and second tongue modules interlocked with each other, the first tongue module retains a plurality of first contacts thereof and the second tongue module retains a plurality of second contacts thereof. The first tongue module defines a retaining slot at a front portion thereof and a blocking plate surrounding the retaining slot, the second tongue module defines at least one retaining portion received in the retaining slot and supported by the blocking plate.
Abstract:
A backplane cabling interconnect scheme is provided that includes a wafer based cable termination and an organizer shroud. The shroud complements existing backplane connectors and provides positioning and polarization for the cable terminated wafer. The wafer cable ends can be stacked or arranged in various arrays and are held in place with an integral latch. A permanent latch is provided for high vibration environments.
Abstract:
An apparatus suitable for locking two electrical connectors together is provided, the apparatus comprising: a first assembly comprising a locking member having a radially extending element; a collar with a through hole for receiving the locking member; and a spring positioned between the locking member and the collar, and a second assembly comprising a retaining member having a guide channel such that in use the radially extending element of the locking member is adapted to cooperate with the guide channel to form a bayonet type connection and lock the first assembly and second assembly together.
