Abstract: Techniques are provided for positioning of a mobile device in a wireless network using directional positioning reference signals (PRS), also referred to as PRS beamforming. In an example method, a plurality of directional PRSs are generated for at least one cell for a base station, such that each of the plurality of directional PRSs comprises at least one signal characteristic and a direction of transmission, either or both of which may be distinct or unique. The plurality of directional PRSs is transmitted within the at least one cell, such that each of the plurality of directional PRSs is transmitted in the direction of transmission. A mobile device may acquire and measure at least one of the directional PRSs which may be identified using the associated signal characteristic. The measurement may be used to assist position methods such as OTDOA and ECID and to mitigate multipath.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, downlink control information (DCI) associated with transmission configuration information, where the transmission configuration information includes a plurality of indicators of respective reference signals. The UE may communicate, with the base station, based at least in part on the transmission configuration information. The DCI may include a field associated with a transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state that includes the plurality of indicators. As an alternative, the DCI may include at least a first field associated with a first TCI state that includes a first indicator of the plurality of indicators and a second field associated with a second TCI state that includes a second indicator of the plurality of indicators. Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are provided for transmitting signaling information by a transmitting apparatus in a broadcasting system. A controller generates a codeword by encoding information bits of the signaling information. The codeword includes the information bits and parity bits. The controller punctures one or more of the parity bits to generate a punctured codeword. The controller generates a plurality of frames. The plurality of frames include a first frame including at least a part of the punctured codeword and a second frame including at least one additional parity bit for the signaling information. A transmitter transmits the plurality of frames. The at least a part of the punctured codeword is included in a preamble part of the first frame and the at least one additional parity bit is included in a preamble part of the second frame.

Abstract: A signal detecting method and device are disclosed. The method includes: obtaining a matched filtering signal; determining a filtering matrix; decomposing the filtering matrix to obtain a principal diagonal matrix and a non-principal diagonal matrix; obtaining a parameter matrix and a parameter vector according to the principal diagonal matrix, the non-principal diagonal matrix, and the matched filtering signal; obtaining an iterative parameter and an iterative initial value according to the parameter matrix and the parameter vector; and performing an iterative calculation according to the iterative parameter and the iterative initial value; if the number of iterations reaches a preset number, obtaining an iterative final value, and obtaining an input of a decoder according to the iterative final value. The signal detection method may reduce the computational complexity and bit error rate, improve data throughput, and more advantageous for use in a large-scale multi-input multi-output system.

Abstract: For transmitting packets over radio communication links wherein flows of packets are delivered containing protected packets and unprotected packets, the status of propagation of the packets is verified in order to detect the presence of a faulty condition. If no faulty condition is detected, protected packet are transmitted over a first radio link wherein the transmission occupies a first portion of available bandwidth on the first radio link, and unprotected packets are transmitted on at least part of the remainder of the available bandwidth of the first radio link and at least part of available bandwidth the second radio link. If a faulty condition is detected, a protected packet is transmitted over the first radio link wherein the transmission occupies a first portion of available bandwidth on the first radio link, a duplicate of the protected packet is transmitted over the second radio link wherein said transmission occupies a second portion of available bandwidth on the second radio link, and unprotected packets are transmitted on at least part of the remainder of the available bandwidth of the first radio link and at least part of the remainder of the available bandwidth of the second radio link.

Abstract: For random linear network encoded data transmission, a method communicates a Galois field to user equipment. In addition, the method receives a set of k data packets, wherein at least two of the k packets are of different packet lengths. The method further resizes the k data packets to generate k packets of equal packet length. The method encodes the k resized data packets from a first data ensemble into r random linear network coded (RLNC) packets as a function of the Galois field. The method further iteratively transmits the RLNC packets from two or more transmission nodes to the user equipment until the decode feedback indicates that a packet ensemble is decoded from the transmitted RLNC packets. Each RLNC packet is transmitted by a selected transmission node.
