Abstract:
System and method for providing client awareness in a high-availability application architecture. One embodiment is a method of servicing a service request in a network maintained by an organization and comprising a plurality of servers. The method comprises responsive to an initial request for service by a client via a service broker, providing to the client through the service broker a response identifying an available one of the servers; and connecting the client directly to the available server, the client thereafter sending successive requests for service directly to the available server without involvement of the service broker.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a dual-purpose cane, which includes a shaft unit, a handgrip unit, which is provided at the top side of the shaft unit and alternatively set between a first mode for use as a handgrip and a second mode for use as a seat, and a footpiece unit, which is provided at the bottom side of the shaft unit and alternatively set between a received position for enabling the cane to be used as a walking stick and an extended position for enabling the cane to be used as a chair.
Abstract:
A system for document analysis. A library stores a plurality of technical terms and relationship indices specifying relationships therebetween. A parser extracts first and second object hierarchies from a first and second document, wherein the first and second object hierarchies comprise a plurality of first and second reference objects, respectively. A processor searches the library for technical terms corresponding to the first and second reference objects, and determines a relevancy rating therebetween according to the relationship indices corresponding to the located technical terms.
Abstract:
Processing equipment for protecting equipment data. A processing unit processes an article, such as a wafer. A storage unit stores equipment data for the processing unit. A controlling unit receives a data retrieval request for the equipment data, wherein the data retrieval request comprises identification data. An authentication unit validates the identification data and retrieves corresponding equipment data form the storage unit through the controlling unit, when the identification data is validated. An encryption unit receives the equipment data from the authentication unit, and encrypts the equipment data. A controlling unit further transfers the encrypted equipment data to an external system.
