Abstract: A solenoid valve has a main body defining a gas inlet passage, a gas outlet passage, and a cavity; a core tube forming a closure for said the cavity so as to prevent an escape of gas; a cylindrical main piston slidably movable in said the cavity of said the main body, said the main piston forming a front chamber and a back chamber in said the main body, said the main piston having a gas conduit for passing the gas from said the gas inlet passage to said the front chamber and an axial hole for passing the gas from said the back chamber into said the gas outlet passage with a bleed orifice at one end of said the axial hole; said the main piston being spring biased to a closed position; a spring biased pilot piston; and an electrical coil means associated with said the core tube to provide a magnetic field for movements of said the pilot piston and said the main piston, so that when said the coil means is deenergized said the pilot piston closes said the outlet passage and causes a pressure equalization allowing said the return spring to push said the main piston to close the valve, while when said the coil means is energized said the pilot valve opens said the outlet passage and lowers a pressure which causes pushing of said the main piston to open the valve.

Abstract: An improved pilot-operated, “instant-on”, solenoid isolation valve discloses a new fluid passage route to save cost of drilling a longitudinal hole within the primary piston. Also, a new feature of primary piston assembly with a movable seal piston having a specific circumferential surface matching to valve body chamber to restrict fluid from front side into back side of the primary piston to produce pressure difference to induce instant valve open when solenoid is energized initially. It also introduces a channel hole in the flange of the sleeve assembly as a communication channel of supply of gas into the chambers of the back side of primary piston assembly. The diameter of the channel hole is not critical to determine in this new invent. As long as the size of the hole is smaller than that of the bleed hole, it can maintain pressure difference between the front side and back side of primary piston during valve opening operation. In addition, since the pilot piston and the primary piston assembly operate independently, the travel stroke of the primary piston assembly is unconstrained by the input electrical power.

Abstract: The disclosure of U.S. patent application Ser. No. 11/161,914 including the specification, drawings and abstract is incorporated herein by reference in its entirely. Abstract: A newly designed solenoid gas valve which including a solenoid assembly and inlet & outlet fittings is installed inside a tube. The adoption of in-line inlet and outlet configuration simplifies the procedures required for connecting the pipes and the gas flow is controlled by opening and closing the valve in a piping system. The opening and closing of the valve is operated by the pressure difference with an aid of the magnetic field. A compression spring is attached to the support cylindrical body and held against the inlet end fitting while a moving solenoid assembly is located inside the support cylindrical body. The moving solenoid assembly that consists of a stop, a flange, a sleeve and an electrical coil, is held by a second compression spring that is attached to the inside of the support cylindrical body. A small moving magnetic rod, slides inside the sleeve of the solenoid assembly. The movement of the small magnetic rod is not affected by that of the entire solenoid assembly which would reduce the stroke (the distance traveled), hence, reduce the electric power requirement. Acted by a third compression spring, the magnetic rod seals the gas outlet through the bleed orifice on the flange of the solenoid assembly. Initially, the solenoid assembly closes the outlet passage solely by the act of the first compression spring since the pressure is in equalization inside the cylindrical body. To allow the gas pass through the valve, an electrical coil is energized to create a magnetic field that causes the magnetic rod to open the bleed orifice, permitting gas flowing and generating pressure difference between the front and the back side chambers. These two chambers are separated by an o-ring on the flange of the solenoid assembly. As soon as the chamber pressure difference exceeds the spring force, the outlet passage opens. When the magnetic field ceases, the magnetic rod moves back to seal the orifice and at the same time, the pressure in the front side chamber builds up to reach a pressure equalization, the compression spring causes the solenoid assembly to close off the outlet passage.

Abstract: A new three-way, two-position in-tube solenoid gas valve assembly comprises a modified in-tube solenoid gas valve and a pair of gas release valves is designed to control pneumatic systems. The modified in-tube solenoid gas valve is a modification based on the previous invention by Wang et al., U.S. Ser. No. 10/924,789. The new modifications are first adding a rod-piston assembly onto the solenoid assembly, a new inlet was added to the valve tube and two outlet fittings were also added. With these modifications, the systems can now work with two directions of gas flows, which is important to control pneumatic systems. To be able to control pneumatic systems properly, two gas release valves are included as part of the assembly. The goal of these two gas release valves is to be able to release gas from pneumatic quickly and completely. These gas release valves are operated based on two compression springs and through gas inputs into the valves. The operations of the gas releases valves are simultaneously while one opens the other closes. The opening and the closing of the gas release valve depends on the state of the modified solenoid gas valve.

Abstract: The present invention provides a multimedia basketball machine composite structure, consisting of a multimedia device and a digital camera device installed in a basketball machine. The multimedia device includes a processing device, a screen and loudspeaker devices. A player is able to interact with the basketball machine according to prompts from the multimedia device, and the digital camera device is able to film and record the segment of interaction between the player and the basketball machine. Moreover, the filmed video can be played back through the multimedia device, thereby creating effectiveness for interaction between the player and the basketball machine. The video of the players filmed by the digital camera device can be arranged to produce a ranking chart.
