Abstract: A drone having at least one thrust device and being provided with a loop coupled to the drone. The loop is configured for fastening a rope to the drone and is provided with a rope connector for establishing a releasable connection with the rope in operational use of the drone. The loop is configured for guiding the rope connector from a first position under the drone along a predefined path to a second position over the drone i) by rotation of the loop itself or ii) by translation of the rope connector along the loop, or iii) by a combination of said rotation and said translation, wherein the predefined path is configured for ensuring a minimum distance between the rope connector and the least one thrust device of the drone.

Abstract: A system is for monitoring a power distribution network having mast constructions carrying at least one power line. The system has at least two smart modules, each being affixed to a respective mast construction and designed for wireless communication with each other for forming a main wireless communication network along the power line. The system has a sensor system affixed to a respective one of the mast constructions. Abstract: A system and method are for reducing the probability of detection of a Line of Sight type communication and sensor mast. The mast has an upper portion extending upwardly relatively the ground, and a lower portion closer to the ground than the upper portion. Abstract: A method and device are for calibrating an antenna. At least one switch is spanning sections of a radiating antenna element. A controller is designed to selectively close the switch to be conductive, thus effectively short-circuiting the actual section of the antenna element. The method includes: installing the antenna for field use at least for transmission or reception of signals; then measuring the reflected power from the antenna at least for a number of frequencies or frequency ranges at more than one setting of the switch; and storing the settings that gives a desirable result of reflected power at an actual frequency or frequency range.

Abstract: A method is for mounting an object, such as a line sensor, to a power line. The method includes: i) suspending and tensioning at least two ropes between a physical ground and a power line; ii) coupling a rope robot with the at least two ropes in such a way that the rope robot can climb up and down the at least two ropes in operational use; iii) providing an object on the rope robot; iv) making the rope robot climb up to the power line to bring the object close to the power line; v) mounting the object to the power line with the rope robot, and vi) decoupling the rope robot from the object and making the rope robot climb down the at least two ropes. A rope robot is disclosed for carrying out this method.
