Abstract:
A fuel delivery system for an internal combustion engine having an intake air metering device, leading to individual combustion chambers several fuel injection valves, each of which is assigned to one combustion chamber, and a central fuel vaporizer to which fuel can be supplied by a fuel metering device. To reduce pollutant emissions during the warm-up phase of the internal combustion engine after start-up, fuel vapor generated in the fuel vaporizer can be added to the intake air for the combustion chambers downstream from the intake air metering device.

A tire sensor system for the continuous measurement of the transferred force and of the adhesive friction potential μ, made up of a plurality of sensors situated on the outer circumferential surface of the tire, via which measured variables are picked off and may be supplied as signals to an analyzing unit via an antenna system, in the area of the outer circumferential surface of the tire, a plurality of individually identifiable sensors is situated in each sector that corresponds to the tire contact area, the sensors making it possible to measure mechanical stresses locally in each position of the tire even when it is standing still, thus making it possible to determine the instantaneous force distribution in the tire.
Abstract:
A force sensor having a substrate for measuring forces is provided, on which substrate a first path and a second path for travel of acoustic surface waves are arranged. The two paths are arranged essentially parallel to one another and their lengths are different. An effect of a force on the substrate is detectable by measuring a time needed for an acoustic surface wave to travel at least one of the first and second paths.

A fuel injection valve for an internal combustion engine includes a metering injection valve and a fuel vaporizer that is arranged upstream from an outlet spray orifice of the injection valve (10) on the intake end and has a vaporizer area with at least one assigned electric heating element. To assure in particular that the fuel vaporizer guarantees very good fuel processing in all heating states, i.e., in heating operation for complete or partial vaporization and in the unheated state, the vaporizer area that accommodates at least one heating element is closed at the outlet end by an outlet valve.
Abstract:
An atomizing sieve of a fuel injection valve having a dish-like concavely cambered form is provided downstream of at least one spray orifice of the fuel injection valve, as seen in the direction of flow of fuel. The atomizing sieve is cast with an outer circumferential region in a protective cap provided at the downstream end of the fuel injection valve. For protection against mechanical effects, protective prongs of the protective cap project further downstream than the lowest region of the atomizing sieve. When the fuel is being injected, a part quantity collects in this lowest region and represents a comparatively static liquid quantity which new fuel then strikes. This arrangement allows an ideal break-up of the fuel into very small droplets. The atomizing sieve also forms a protective shield against icing-up, plugging and settlement of chemical substances within the fuel injection valve.
