    Abstract: The present invention provides a microfluidic biochip, which comprises: a fluid transportation unit having a fluid transportation reservoir and a fluid transportation air chamber; a first fluid storage reservoir; a second fluid storage reservoir; a first valve unit having a first valve and a first valve control air chamber; and a second valve unit having a second valve and a second valve control air chamber; wherein the first valve unit is located between the first fluid storage reservoir and the fluid transportation unit, the second valve unit is located between the second fluid storage reservoir and the fluid transportation unit, and the top portion of the fluid transportation reservoir and the valves are made of a flexible material. The structure of the present microfluidic biochip allows fluids to be transported and/or mixed therein.

    Abstract: An electromagnetic thermotherapeutic system is adapted to treat a biological tissue and includes an electromagnetic thermotherapeutic apparatus and a high frequency induction heating circuit unit. The apparatus includes a needle assembly and a temperature monitor.The needle assembly is adapted to be inserted in the biological tissue, and includes a flexible and bendable needle seat, and a plurality of ferrous needles that are attached to the needle seat and that have needle tips extending in a direction away from the needle seat. The temperature monitor is connected to the needle assembly.The high frequency induction heating circuit unit has an induction coil capable of producing an electromagnetic field to induce currents in the ferrous needles and to thereby heat the ferrous needles.

    Abstract: A chip device for a thermally cycled reaction includes a looped pressure channel divided into a plurality of angularly oriented sub-channels, and a looped fluid channel substantially corresponding to and disposed below the looped pressure channel. The fluid channel has a plurality of temperature zones below the respective sub-channels. A looped membrane is disposed between the fluid channel and the pressure channel. The membrane is inflated or deflated by the pressure in the sub-channels so as to block or unblock the fluid channel partially or completely. A fluid sample is movable by the membrane to an unblocked part of the fluid channel from a blocked part of the fluid channel so that the fluid sample may be circulated repeatedly along the fluid channel.

    Abstract: A heat therapy for thermally treating a target tissue within a living body by using a treating apparatus including a treating device with a magnetic part is provided. The magnetic part is heated to a first temperature by a high frequency electromagnetic field with a heating rate ranging from 1 to 5° C./sec, wherein the magnetic part is contacted the target tissue. Temperature controlling steps are performed to the magnetic part having the first temperature, and therefore the magnetic part has a final temperature higher than the first temperature, and a treatment is performed to the target tissue under the final temperature. Each of the temperature controlling steps is a heating step, a cooling step or a temperature conservation step, and the magnetic part is heated or cooled by the high frequency electromagnetic field with a heating rate or a cooling rate ranging from 1 to 5° C./sec.
