Abstract:
It is an object of the present invention to provide a back-light device and a liquid crystal display whose manufacturing costs are low and wherein the light from light sources is guided to a light-guiding plate efficiently and the heat of the light sources is dissipated efficiently. The back-light device (12) of the liquid crystal panel (10) has a front frame (14) and a rear frame (26). There are provided four optical sheets (16), a light-guiding plate (18), a flexible PCB (20), two light sources (22), and a reflecting sheet (24) between the front frame (14) and the rear frame (26). The flexible PCB (20) has a PCB part (2002) and two erected parts (2003). A resistor (2008) and a thermistor (2010) as electronic parts, and two light sources (22) are installed on the PCB part (2002) in the vicinity of the erected parts (2003). A light-radiating surface (2202) of the light source (22) is pressed to an incident surface (1802) of the light-guiding plate (18) by the erected part (2003).
Abstract:
There is provided a radiation-curable adhesive tape comprising a radiation-curable adhesive layer which is formed on a radiation transmitting substrate. The radiation-curable adhesive layer is composed of an acrylic adhesive and radiation-curable compound having carbon-carbon double bonds. The radiation-curable tape can be used preferably in processing steps for the production of semiconductor wafer, ceramics and glass employing a direct picking-up system.
Abstract:
A composition for a crosslinked polyolefin foam is prepared from 20 to 75% by weight of a crystalline propylene copolymer containing 1 to 15% by weight of ethylene and having a crystallinity higher than 50% and 80 to 25% by weight of polyethylene.
Abstract:
The composition of this invention is a polyethylene base resin composition containing a high concentration of an inorganic material, which has high flame retardancy and sufficient tensile elongation for practical application and is adapted to be used as a raw material for a field in which high flame retardancy is demanded such as coatings for flame retardant wires and cables and flame retardant raw material of foamed product. This composition mainly consists of a resin component formed of 10 to 75 parts by weight of polyethylene having a density ranging between 0.910 and 0.945 (g/cm.sup.3) and a melt index ranging from 0.01 to 2.0 (g/10 min) and 90 to 25 parts by weight of an ethylene-base copolymer and further contains 80 to 250 parts by weight of powder of a hydrated metal oxide on the basis of 100 parts by weight of the resin component of said polyethylene base resin composition.

Abstract:
There is disclosed a surface-protection method during chemical etching of a plate material, which comprises sticking a radiation-curable adhesive tape onto the area of plate material where etching should not be effected, and after the radiation-curable adhesive layer is cured with irradiation of radiation, subjecting said plate material to a chemical etching treatment.

Abstract:
A lamp stand adapted to support in a fully expanded state a collapsible oriental lantern formed by an open-ended translucent shell on a floor or table surface. The upper opening of the shell is bounded by a top rib to which is attached a spider whose center hub has a hole therein, the lower opening being bounded by a bottom rib provided with tie strings or other leg connectors. The stand includes a raised mounting plate supporting a lamp socket and a harp from which upwardly extends a vertical rod that passes through the hole in the spider hub. The rod has an elastic collar thereon which is axially shiftable to a point under the hub to maintain the upper end of the lantern at this level, which print depends on the length of the lantern. Depending from the mounting plate is an array of legs each having an outwardly sloped upper section and a straight lower section whose foot rests on the surface. The bottom rib of the lantern rests on the sloped upper section of the legs at a level thereon determined by the size of the lower opening of the lantern and is secured thereto by the leg connectors.
Abstract:
A lampstand providing a stable and properly-oriented support for a lampshade, particularly one constituted by an oriental lantern formed by a collapsible paper shell having polar openings, each of which is bridged by a strut having a central loop. The stand includes a vertical pole carrying a bulb socket and a harp formed by a triad of arms which encage the bulb and interconnect upper and lower rings. The lower ring is secured to the pole and the upper ring supports an extension rod in axial alignment with the pole. The lantern is mounted on the stand to envelop the bulb, the upper loop being attached to the head of the extension rod, the lower loop engaging the pole at a point just below a resilient collar which embraces the pole and is shiftable to a position subjecting the lantern to tension to maintain the shell thereof in its fully expanded state. Extension rods of different length may be installed on the harp to allow for centering of the bulb for a range of shade sizes.
